On this page of the Deathloop game guide, you will learn how to avoid losing health and dying from the green poisonous gas, one of the potential environmental hazards in the game. Additionally, we suggest how to make Colt resistant to the deadly noxious fumes.
You will only encounter the poisonous gas in selected locations in the game, but you should never underestimate it, because these poisonous fumes can rapidly damage or even kill your character.
If you come into contact with the gas, you should focus on getting out of the danger zone as quickly as possible - if possible, use the Shift superpower to teleport to safety. You can also use the Shift ability to travel over areas containing poisonous gas.
One of the larger sections contaminated with poisonous fumes is hangar 2 from Karl's Bay, which is the location of Harriet Morse, one of the visionaries. By default, poisonous gas fills up the lower level of the hangar. This means that when planning Harriet's murder, you should stick to the balconies and platforms above.
The game might let you dispose of the poisonous fumes, although this isn't always the case. When it comes to the aforementioned hangar 2, you can reach Harriet's speaking location (the wrecked aircraft's cockpit) and find the lever pictured in the screenshot. Pulling it will remove the gas from the hangar (although this may take a while).
If you don't have the option to remove the gas, then the next best solution is to look for an alternative path to your destination. Deathloop is designed to give you a wide variety of options when it comes to choosing your travel route.
While playing the game, we recommend looking for the Steel Lungs character trinket. Not only does it make Colt immune to poisonous gas, but entering zones with poisonous fumes will also begin to heal the main character. You will have the option to seek out gas-filled locations to heal the main character.
Keep in mind that in some locations you can cause an intentional gas leak in order to make it easier to get rid of the nearby opponents. This can be done, for example, by shooting the red canisters from a safe distance.
