In this chapter of our guide to Call of Duty Warzone, we have described what a gold weapon is, how to unlock it, and how to do it quickly.
The Gold weapon in Call of Duty Warzone is a term used to describe a gold camouflage that can be applied by using the Gunsmith tab. Unfortunately, the gold camouflage for a particular weapon is not available right away and you will have to unlock each of the 10 camouflage categories beforehand. Also, you will have to complete all tasks associated with these challenges to receive the gold weapon skin. Unlocking gold weapon skins in CoD Warzone is a very time-consuming and troublesome task, but we provide some tips on how to do it quickly!

Gold weapons in Warzone - how to unlock these camos?
Each of the weapons available in Warzone has special camouflage sets that can be unlocked by completing certain challenges, such as scoring a certain number of kills with a particular weapon, killing opponents with a single shot from a long distance, or scoring a certain number of kills by performing headshots. Depending on the type of weapon, the requirements for a particular set of camouflage may vary.
At the beginning, the player has access to the basic set of camouflage and unlocks subsequent sets after leveling up a particular weapon. After reaching a certain level of weapon, you will gain access to all sets of camo and be able to unlock the gold one.
What's the fastest way to unlock the gold camo for a weapon?
In order to unlock additional camo for a weapon you have to use this firearm during gameplay to earn experience points for kills, contracts, completed daily missions, etc. At the time we're writing this game guide, the quickest way to unlock the gold camo for your weapon is to participate in the Warzone Rumble game mode. Warzone Rumble is a Deathmatch in which players enter the battle with their own set of weapons (custom loadouts). Therefore, they can choose weapons they want to develop and level up. During the Warzone Rumble match, the player has a chance to score a large number of kills and complete consecutive objectives in a very easy way.
For the purposes of this guide, we have selected the HDR weapon as an example (that is not fully developed yet). Some of the camo sets are already unlocked at 24th level of the HDR weapon. Each of them has 10 stages to complete. More camo kits like Stripes, Reptile and Skulls will be unlocked at higher weapon levels so we don't have to worry about them for now. After checking the requirements of weapon camo sets, we have found out that we needed to earn the following challenges and achievements:
- Specific number of total kills (required for Spray Paint camo kit);
- Specific amount of headshots (required for the Woodland camo set);
- Specific amount of kills by firing a shot while player's character is crouching (required for Digital camo camo set);
- Specific number of kills with one shot (required for Dragon camo kit);
- Specific amount of kills with a gun that has the maximum amount of modifications (required for Splinter camo set);
- Specific number of long-distance kills (required for Topo camo set);
- Specific number of kills scored after setting up a weapon in a particular spot (required for Tiger camo set).
Once you know all objectives you need to achieve while using a particular weapon, it will be much easier to complete them and thus speed up the process of unlocking the gold weapon in Warzone. As soon as you manage to unlock another camouflage from a specific category, the appropriate information will pop up in the middle of the screen.
It is also worth noting that some challenges and achievements can be performed at the same time. For example, you can combine the total number of kills with headshots, kills after setting up the firearm in a spot or long distance shots. This makes it much more efficient to unlock the gold weapon skin.
After playing just one match in Warzone Rumble mode, we have managed to score 16 kills. The results were impressive - additional 2 level ups of HDR weapon and as many as 10 different camouflage kits! All that was unlocked in just 10 minutes!
By using additional tokens for XP, you can further accelerate the weapon's leveling process in Call of Duty Warzone to quickly unlock all camouflage sets. However, if you don't want to spend money or CP points, then you can wait for weekend events in which each player can get a bonus of 2x experience points for free.
