Tonics in Bioshock Bioshock guide, walkthrough
Last update: 04 February 2020
Tonics allow you to purchase many useful additional abilities in BioShock. On this page of the guide, you will find a summary of all available physical, engineering, and combat tonics. You can find out what effect each tonic has and how to unlock it.
Introductory note
- The locations of the tonics in the third column of the table are links to the corresponding chapters of the step-by-step guide, where they have been described in more detail (for example. Neptune's Bounty).
- In cases where a particular tonic can be purchased in the Gatherer's Garden, we include its FIRST appearance in the list of available products. For gifts from Tenenbaum for saving the sisters, we assume that the player saved everyone from the beginning (that is, this is the earliest appearance of a particular tonic that we can achieve).
- If the tonic is a research award, the table contains appropriate information (research). For more information, you can navigate to the Opponents and researching them section.
- The game has 3 tonics that can be made at the U-Invent station, and this is indicated in the table with U-Invent information. For more information, see the U-Invent section.
- On the next page of this chapter, you will find maps with marked tonic locations. Use it if you have problems finding any of them.
