Hacking in Bioshock Bioshock guide, walkthrough

Hacking electrical devices in BioShock is a simple (which doesn't mean easy) mini-game. It involves transferring fluid from the inlet to the outlet of the circulation by rearranging the "tube" elements visible on the Board. On this page of the guide, we describe in detail the hacking mini-game and tell you which objects can be hacked.
General information about hacking
The level of complexity of hacking depends largely on the tonics that you will be equipped with. Some can slow down the flow of the liquid or reduce the number of "defective" fields. If you are bored with hacking, you can always use the "Buy-Out" option (the hack is completed successfully automatically, for some cash ), or use the Automatic Hack Tool(a fairly expensive item is purchased from distributors which can be found in various types of crates). Also note that the difficulty level of hacking is reduced if you pre-freeze the hacked item (liquid nitrogen or Winter Blast).
A hacked object | The effect of a successful hack |
Turret | It fights on your side, attacking enemies and ignoring the player. |
Bot | It fights on your side, attacking enemies and ignoring the player. |
Camera | When it sees the enemy, it will call the bots to attack him. Ignores the player. |
Safe | It opens (safes are the hardest to crack!). |
Lock | Is opened. |
Types of objects encountered in the hacking mini-game
A description of the fields found on the boards:
Normal field-you rearrange these types of elements to create a closed loop.
Occupied field-when the liquid has already entered a certain section of the pipe, you can't move it any more.
Short circuit - if the liquid gets into this type of field, you will be hurt by an electric current.
Alarm-if liquid enters this type of field, a security alarm will be set.
Deceleration-this field slows down the flow of the liquid, making it easier for you.
Acceleration-this field accelerates the flow of the liquid, making it difficult to break through. Use them only if necessary! |
