Titan is the final boss of Aliens Dark Descent - you encounter this enemy in the twelfth mission. On this guide page, we answer whether you have a typical boss fight. You will also learn how to stop the Titan in the chase sequence after finding Cassandra.
Location of the Titan
- Titan is the largest of the xenomorphs, surpassing even the Alien Queens. He is in the city of xenomorphs found in the last mission of the game. The final boss appears in mission 12 and he is in the same room where the marines unit finds Cassandra.
- After saving Cassandra, the Titan will detach from the wall and begin pursuing the unit.
How to avoid final boss's attacks?
- The most important information is that you cannot kill the Titan, the game only allows you to temporarily slow him down.
- You must head to the exit from the xenomorphs. Use your skill bar to slow down or stop time. This will allow you to easily select the next place to move.
- Make sure that Maeko and Cassandra are always running. Use the mini-map to avoid dead ends, because they will mean certain death.
- The first part of the chase ends after returning to the room with the large xenomorph eggs, as the Titan cannot squeeze through the narrow passage.
- You will have to defend yourself against regular xenomorphs. It is best to use a shotgun to get rid of those enemies who are near Maeko.
- Remember that you don't have to worry about command points and you can activate 2 available skills (shotgun and grenade launcher) without waiting for the points to be restored. There is also no need to conserve ammunition or heal the marines.
At some point, the Titan will break through the wall and the second part of the chase will begin.
- You need to use the U1 grenade launcher, because otherwise the boss will approach the heroines and the death of any of them means mission failure.
- Choose the grenade launcher from the skill bar. Explosions will slow down and briefly stop the Titan. This way you will be able to increase the distance from the monster.
- Consider opening the full-screen map for a moment to check the escape route. However, remember that the game is not paused or slowed down when the map screen is open.
- Keep using the grenade launcher and head towards the second narrow passage. It will stop the Titan again. From this moment on, you will encounter "only" standard xenomorphs. Kill the monsters on the way to the evacuation site.
