The Broker is a new character in Tropico 6. This mysterious character is very useful. It enables you to make use of the money gathered in the Swiss bank account for the first time in the history of the series. In this chapter, you will learn how to gather these funds and what profits you can gain from it.
Reaching the Broker panel is possible from the tabs available in the lower part of the screen. The Broker becomes available after you end the Colonial Era.
How to gather money on the Swiss bank account?
There are a few ways to gather money on the Swiss account. They are mostly related to the Broker.
The first one is completing tasks received from him. You will find a tab with Broker tasks in his menu. At first, there is only a single slot available, but you can buy more. From time to time, tasks of various types will appear there [1]. They might include exporting a specific number of goods or performing a specified raid. If you complete them, a specific number will be transferred to your Swiss bank account [2].
The second option is placing the Broker's men in the ministry. If you decide to give them positions in your government, then each minister will generate 100$ for your Swiss bank account per month.
The money can also come to your Swiss account if you develop and issue edict Experimental Ground Treatment. After activating it, you will receive 200$ for each industrial building you have. Sadly, the edict will also increase the pollution on the island.
How can I spend the money?
The gathered funds can be spent in two ways. The first one is exchange. In the tab in the Broker menu, you can use gathered money to buy raid points, research points, or to simply exchange it to money added to the nation's treasury.
The second option is buying various types of influence or causing specific effects. Available options are randomly generated and they change from time to time.
Try to spend money gathered in the Swiss bank account wisely. Do it only when it is really needed. Save the rest for the emergency. If your nation starts having financial trouble, you can use these funds to save your budget and improve your situation.
