JP Dumond | Vendettas The Darkness II Guide

JP Dumond is different from other characters mainly because his Darkness power is far more useful than his unique weapon. We are talking here about Black Hole, which absorbs all nearby objects (including enemies). What's interesting, unlike the play as a Jackie black hole is created at once and not only after you find its "smaller version" next to opponent's body. Moreover in its basic form it is very powerful and this is not the end of its possibilities, because you can enhance it with proper Darkness powers. Unfortunately this is not an attack which can be used on regular basis, because its regeneration time is very long.
As for Dumond's unique weapon, it is voodoo Midnight Stick. This weapon doesn't inflict damage by itself (only after buying one of the talents), because its function is to hang in the air the targeted enemy. After doing this action your opponent becomes very easy target for further attacks. In addition Dumond is more effective than rest of characters in healing allies, so we suggest choosing this character only if you want to play in co-op and focus on supporting your team mates.

Demonic | Midnight Stick Master | 600 essence points + Dark Aura | Possibility of knocking down with voodoo stick enemies standing near the attacked person. It is obvious to buy this weapon, if you intend to regularly use Dumond's unique weapon. |
Demonic | Demonic Endurance Aura | 800 essence points + Dark Endurance Aura | Makes all nearby players more endured. Same as with Dark Endurance Aura, this power is useful only in multiplayer mode. |
Demonic | Midnight Stick's Gift | 1600 execution points + Lifegiver | You're invincible for few seconds after destroying a heart. This power is far better than its counterparts assigned to other character, because it doesn't force you to perform an execution. Despite of many essence points I recommend buying it. |
Demonic | Midnight Stick's Power | 1200 essence points + Midnight Stick Master | Possibility of speeding up regeneration of Black Hole attack by killing enemies with a voodoo stick and/or destroying their hearts. I suggest unlocking this power, because Black Hole attack is very useful and you'll be able to use it more often with this talent. |
Guns | Infidel Darkness Mod | 300 essence points | Increases pistols' clip (regular and machine). It is worth noting that it works only when Dumond stays in the dark. I recommend unlocking this power as soon as possible, because it is cheap and perfectly fits if you prefer using voodoo stick and pistol at the same time. |
Guns | Active Pump | 600 essence points + Infidel Darkness Mod | If you press the right mouse button after shooting with shotgun, your next hit will be more accurate. It is not a priority to buy this talent, because it is far better to use voodoo stick and pistol instead of a shotgun. |
Guns | Warlord Darkness Mod | 600 essence points + Infidel Darkness Mod | Increases shotguns' and assault rifles' clip. It is worth noting that it works only when Dumond stays in the dark. You can buy this power, but only if you will use assault rifles and not shotguns |
Black Hole | Black Hole | - | Creates a black hole which attracts all nearby objects (including enemies). You do not have to buy this power and you should use it from the very beginning. Unlike the singleplayer campaign, the black hole is created immediately and not after finding its smaller version next to the body. |
Black Hole | Infinite Darkness | 750 essence points | Increases time of existing of black hole. It is not your priority to buy this power and it is better to invest your points in a talent described below. |
Black Hole | Caustic Black Hole | 500 essence points | It increases black hole's dimensions. This is very useful talent because it increases effectiveness of the black hole and you can then get rid of enemies standing in a distance. |
Black Hole | Murderous Black Hole | 1500 essence points + Infinite Darkness | A black hole can "suck in" more opponents. I strongly recommend buying this power, because it significantly increases the usefulness of black holes. |
Black Hole | Soul-Destroying Black Hole | 1000 essence points + Caustic Black Hole | It significantly increases dimensions of the black hole. This is of course enhanced version of Caustic Black Hole power and you should buy this talent, because thanks to that black hole become even more useful. |
