This spoiler free page of the guide to The Last of Us 2 has information about the locations for all safes in Seattle, Day 1 chapter - when you are playing as Ellie. In addition to the locations of the safes, we present solutions to puzzles in which you find the right safe combination and inform about the contents of the safes.

List of safes in the Seattle, Day 1 chapter
In Seattle, Day 1, when playing as Ellie, you will be able to find 4 safes:
- 3 safes - Downtown stage
- 1 safe - Capitol Hill stage
Safe #1 in the Downtown stage
The safe can be found in the ruins of the Westlake Bank building - it is shown in the pictures above.
A dimly lit passage leads to the bank ruins. Ellie comes across the lobby with a group of infected people - eliminate them.
A locked entrance to the vault is in a room at the back of the bank.
You can get the combination for the vault by examining the bag found in the same room - check the picture. It contains Bank Heist Plans.
The safe's code is 60-23-06.
In the vault, you will find a dead thief with a Pump Shotgun (a new type of weapon) and a unique artifact/collectible - an Antique Ring. Pick it up to unlock a trophy.
Safe #2 in the Downtown stage
The safe can be found inside the United States Court House - it is shown in the pictures above.
Inside the courthouse, you must defeat a group of infected and then locate the stairs leading to the lower floor. The safe is under a desk in one of the office rooms.
The combination to the safe can be obtained in two ways:
- Find the List of Known WLF Agitators in one of the blue drawers. It is written on the back of the paper.
- Read the code from the large board.
The safe's code is 86-07-22.
Inside it, you will find scrap metal, supplements and crafting materials.
Safe #3 in the Downtown stage
The safe is located next to the Gate West 2 at the western end of the map - this place is presented in the picture.
You have to squeeze through a partially open gate to reach the area with the safe.
The combination to the safe is written on the Checkpoint Gate Codes document, which you may have obtained in The Gate stage. Check out the West 2 position in the paper.
The safe's code is 04-51.
Inside it you will find scrap metal, supplements, a health kit, shotgun ammunition and a Flo Trading Card (another type of collectibles).
Safe in the Capitol Hill stage
The safe can be found on the way to the headquarters of the Channel 13 TV station, specifically after reaching the location from the picture - a "minefield". Avoid numerous trap mines - move in a slalom or detonate the traps from a safe distance (e.g. throw objects or shoot).
Follow the main mined road. Find the shop shown in the picture. Go around another mine and go inside.
Once inside the store, go to the employee area where the safe is located.
Find a notice board with a note attached to it. It includes a hint saying that the combination to the safe is linked to a phone number.
Find the bathroom. Staci's phone number is written on the wall.
The code for the safe is the last six digits of the phone number: 55-01-33.
In the safe, you will find ammunition, a health kit and crafting materials.
