The Last of Us 2: Finding Strings - collectibles, artefacts, coins

This spoiler-free page of The Last of Us 2 collectible guide contains a list of all secrets found during Finding Strings. It's a flashback level and a part of Seattle, Day 2 chapter. You'll be controlling young Ellie and reliving events from the past, but you can still find a few unique collectibles.

Finding Strings - collectible list

During Finding Strings, you can find 3 secrets:

1. 1 artifact
2. 1 trading card
3. 1 journal entry

Journal entry

This secret during Finding Strings can be unlocked at the very beginning of the stage, which is when you follow Tommy on the hiking trail. Don't follow Tommy right away, just go right and stop at the vantage point shown in the image above.

The Austringer Trading Card

It's a collector's trading card - a collectible. You can get it later part of the stage, when traveling with Joel. The characters must reach the hotel shown in the screenshot. Take your time when entering this location.

Go left along the overgrown road running by the hotel. Explore the damaged section of the road where the small reservoir is located. The trading card will be hidden in the wreckage of the car shown in screenshot above.

Tara's Invitation

An artifact that you can get only after entering the hotel- Ellie has to crawl at the spot shown in the image above and unlock the front door for Joel. Start exploring the hotel together - Joel will move one of the vending machines to unlock the passage to the next room.

You must find and investigate room 107 - do so before the heroes encounter the first group of infected.

The document is on one of the furniture in Room 107.
