Crafting | Hints on making a good start Sword Coast Legends Guide

Last update: 11 May 2016

Crafting is considered only as a supplement to Sword Coast Legends. Because of that, you will not find here skills like blacksmith, armorsmith, enchanting or alchemy, that are focusing on crafting, like in other RPG games. Crafting in the game is done in two steps. First one is collecting damaged weapon or armor parts that are scattered through the whole game world. After collecting enough of such parts, you can go to the blacksmith in Luskan - Market District and order him to forge you a piece of equipment. The price for such action is ten thousands of gold, which is much more than you can afford early in the game. The crafted items are usually very good, but not the best. If you have trouble with finding a proper weapon for you or your ally, go to blacksmith and check whether he has an option to craft item you need.

Recommended items to forge include:

  • Clan Solar'el Dagger - A very good dagger for a rogue. You will gain it by collecting three parts of a damaged dagger. You must kill three members of Solar'el clan to get it. The forging price is 30000 pieces of gold.
  • Sunblade - A short sword for rogues (or other characters that use dexterity attribute). You can forge it after collecting three parts of the damaged sword in second act. The price of forging is 30000 pieces of gold.
  • Bow of Hungering - An exceptional bow which you can forge after collecting three parts found in Maferil Lyceum. It can be forged for 30000 pieces of gold.
  • Aegis of Helm - An exceptional shield. You can obtain it by finding three parts of a shield that can be obtained in Neverwinter and in Gilded Eye Chapterhouse.
  • Staff of Explosions - An exceptional staff for wizard that uses the fire element. Its parts can be found in the catacombs. The reforging price is 30000 pieces of gold.
