In Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order you can constantly develop your character and BD-1. The main character develops in two ways - you can gain skill points to acquire new abilities and you can gain new Force powers by completing story-related tasks.
Lightsabers
Single lightsaber - your starting weapon.
Split lightsaber - you can pick it up on Dathomir. The upgrade can be found on the workbench.
With it, you can perform powerful attacks that are perfect for finishing opponents.
Double bladed lightsaber / Lightstaff - you will get it by completing missions on Ilum or on Bogano, in the Abandoned Workshop.
BD-1 improvements
Scomp Link - there is a workbench in Weathered Monument (Zeffo) with the upgrade.
Overcharge - in the Cargo Pod district, on Planet Kashyyyk, there is a workbench located right next to the path you follow during the story mission.
Slice: Security Droid - after releasing the Wookies on Kashyyyk, you will get to the Imperial Refinery. There you will get the upgrade.
Powered Zipline - you will get it during the exploration of Tomb of Miktrull.
Skills

Force powers
In Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order video game, you character will get 4 powers that affect exploration and combat. Below we have described how to get all the powers available in the game.
Force Slow
This power is very useful for fighting opponents. Thanks to it, you can stop them for a while to inflict more damage on them without worrying about your own health.
This ability is also sometimes useful in the exploration of the world. From time to time you will need to stop some objects so you can safely walk through them.
You start the game with this power unlocked. Your task will only be to develop it while exploring the world.
Force Push
This power greatly facilitates exploration. With it, you can open closed pathways and move objects.
Fighting will also be greatly simplified thanks to this ability. You can push opponents so that they fall into the abyss or collide with each other.
You will receive this power in the Tomb of Eilram on the planet Zeffo.
Force Pull
Thanks to the ability to pull, you can attract enemies and quickly attack them. However, if you further develop its power by unlocking new skills, you will be able to attract opponents and immediately drive your lightsaber into them.
This ability will also allow you to attract objects so you can solve a variety of logic puzzles.
You will receive this power in the Tomb of Miktrull on the planet Zeffo.
Force Jump (Double Jump)
Double jump allows you to reach many different places. Thus, you will be able to freely explore the world of the game.
You will acquire this power on Kashyyyk. After escaping the Ninth Sister, you will end up in a place where you have to bounce to Lung Plants. This will trigger a flashback scene. After it, Cal will gain the aforementioned power.
