Can you save the state of Fallen Order by yourself? Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order guide, walkthrough
Last update: 15 November 2019
This page of the guide to the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game answers two very important questions - whether it is possible to manually save the state of the game and in what circumstances the game creates new saves. Reading the information presented in this chapter will let you avoid losing some of your game progress.
The game, unfortunately, does not allow you to create saves manually. If you pause the game, you will not find any options to create a new save.
This is not the only problem. Most of the time, the game only saves your progress based on the meditation points. Such a point is shown in the attached screenshot - they are encountered regularly during the exploration of planets and they are also marked on your holomap. You do not have to find only new meditation points. If necessary, you can go back to a previously discovered one.
After interacting with each of the meditation points, you can distribute available development points, as well as rest to replenish the health and Force bars. The advantage of visiting a meditation point is the ability to save the game, although the rest is associated with the revival of previously defeated enemies.
If you die, you will return to the last point of meditation. If you turn off the game prematurely, you may lose the progress made since interacting with the last meditation point. Try to get to the meditation places before ending the game session.
There are exceptions to the above rule as to when the progress is saved. The game can make a new automatic save if important plot events have occurred or, for example, after you have flown to another planet.
