Battlefront 2: Officer Class Guide Battlefront 2 guide, tips
Last update: 28 May 2020
A very dynamic character. However, because of their weapon, this class is suitable for players who like to score headshots. Pistols are useful at all ranges because they can be exceedingly accurate. Great for back attacks. Strategy for fire: lean from covers and move while shooting - your accuracy stays the same and you are more difficult to hit.

Class description
Battle Command is an important ability because it gives your allies additional health. It is recommended to have this unit cooperate with other team members while completing scenario objectives.
Specialty: Support
Mobility: Moderate
Team Roles: Strengthening teammates, battlefield control
Durability: Moderate (150 health points)
Abilities:
- Flash Grenade: Stun and blind enemies. You can press the grenade button again to detonate it sooner and make it explode into pieces that, when they hit ground, blind all enemies in their reach. This grenade can also blind you. Enemies blinded by a grenade and killed by allies count as Assist. Flash Grenades deal damage.
- Battle Command: Give a battle command that inspires all nearby allies by increasing their resistance and movement speed. The command only works on players in front of you. The effect doesn't last long so use it only when your team is in danger.
- Blaster Cannon: a portable cannon that shoots at enemy soldiers and vehicles. Only one cannon can be deployed at the same time but it can be moved by its owner. Can be repaired by nearby Officers. Detonate it by pressing the deploy button. Enemies killed by its shots are added to your stats and give you battle points. Warning: a cannon causes a huge explosion when it is destroyed which can hurt both enemies and allies - don't place it in places that are defended by your allies.

Tips and common mistakes
Many players stop using this class because it isn't effective. This is because many players make common mistakes:
- Place Turrets far from you - most players deploy them near entrances which makes them an easy target. Turrets have a great reach but they need some time to lock-on a target - place them in open spaces where they can find enemies from a distance freely and without attracting too much attention.
- Dying too quickly - when you fortify a position (usually with a Turret) you can scare off a lot of potential targets from attacking a given place. Your Turret disappears after your death. You should also remember about that when you attack - a nearby Officer usually dies quicker than you and they will take their Turret with them.
- Use your Turret as a bait - an enemy approaches you? Quickly deploy a Turret and jump back. In the meantime, go around the enemy when they are busy with the Turret, lean and attack or throw a Flash Grenade first.
- Throw Flash Grenades upwards - a critical mistake done by many players. Flash Grenades are a powerful weapon, especially for a fragile character like Officer. Most of the players throw Flash Grenades under enemy's feet. Throw them upwards and press the grenade button again to make them explode into fragments. Thanks to that their radius can even reach 10-15 meters!
- Turret kills are counted as kills, not assists.
Weapons and modifications
This chapter contains descriptions of weapons and modifications available for an Officer.
Level 1 (np. SE-44 / DC-17)
Clip: 20 rounds Reload: fast Use: short/mid distance Accuracy: high This pistol's accuracy is high but its damage is low - aim at heads. Accuracy is great even at a longer distance. Sadly, the projectiles fly too slow to be effective. | details |
Modifications: none
Level 2 - S-5
Clip: 10 rounds Reload: fast Use: short-long distance Accuracy: high A great weapon for killing enemies from afar, including snipers, who can't hit you when you move while shooting. Can cause a little bit of problems when used at a shorter distance. Requires about 2 shots at a head (snipers - 1 shot). | details |
Modifications:
- Reduced Recoil.
- Dual Zoom - May prove to be problematic when using a third person perspective camera, as the scope movement is slower.
- ION Shot - increased damage to vehicles and shields (including Heavy's Combat Shield), infantry damage reduced. Slight increase in accuracy. Ineffective against heavy vehicles.
Level 3 - BLURRG-1120
Clip: 3x10 (burst) Reload speed: fast Best utilized: short/medium distances Accuracy: average A pistol firing three shots per single burst. This gives BLURRG-1120 advantage in close combat - two bursts are often enough to eliminate an opponent. Ineffective on longer distances. | details |
Upgrades:
- Lower recoil
- Improved burst - the pistol fires four shots in a single burst
- Explosive shot
Level 4 - SE-44C
Clip: 40 Reload: fast Best utilized on: short/medium range Accuracy: high Automatic pistol. Accurate, with medium rate of fire that can be further improved thanks to the third upgrade. You can use it to eliminate opponents at close range, but it will also serve its purpose on lorger distances. | details |
Boosts:
- Improved cooling - increases the clip size
- Nightvision - better visibility in dark areas
- Rapid fire - increases the rate of fire
