Battlefront 2: Cards - how to upgrade and create? Battlefront 2 guide, tips

Last update: 28 May 2020

This chapter contains information about creating and upgrading cards as well as alternative ways of acquiring them: getting and buying crates and completing milestones. To create a card, you need to have a high rank (experience) and your cards level which is the number of owned cards for a given class. These cards not only increase stats of your character but they can also change your default abilities / gadgets.

The basic way of getting cards is to create them by using parts. Crafting parts will also allow you to upgrade cards. Each one of the cards that you can acquire is very powerful. However, you may have to unleash their potential first. This is because cards have levels where the lowest one offers a slight upgrade for a given function. Cards can be upgraded by selecting menu->career. Select a class and create cards that will give you much better bonuses. Upgrade cost is rather high (you may even need to use a few hundreds of crafting parts) and have a certain rank.

Crates: how to buy and get them

After each completed mission you are rewarded with credits - a virtual currency. Its amount depends on how well you did in fights, which game mode you played and whether your team won or not. If you lose then the game checks how many objectives were completed.

Crates are divided into categories: trooper, starfighter and hero. - Battlefront 2: Cards - how to upgrade and create? - FAQ - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide

You can spend credits on crates that can be bought in the game's menu. You can get special cards that can be used during a match, new poses or crafting parts. Special cards can also be acquired by completing milestones goals (e.g. 50 grenade kills guarantee you a crate in which you will find a grenade upgrade for the class that completed this milestone). What about a situation in which you bought all cards and you can still get crates for completing milestones? One of your cards will receive a new level. This is more cost-effective because upgrades cost much more than crates. A duplicate is then sold automatically (for about 200 credits which isn't much). Check which cards you can get for completing milestones for that particular class before you buy a crate.
