Assaults are the most numerous units on a battlefield. The reasons for that are its versatility and high effectiveness in fights against other classes. Unlocked weapons can slightly change their specialization: A208 rifle is good for a medium distance and CR-2 is great for eliminating enemies in narrow corridors. The default weapon can have a scope (without zooming in) or not - this depends on a faction.

Abilities:
- Thermal Detonator: A basic grenade with large blast radius that deals a lot of damage, has a timed fuse (5 seconds). Works great in rooms.
- Vanguard: Equip a short-range weapon, that can't overheat, for a brief moment (a repeater shotgun). Faster sprint. Killed enemies extend the ability's time. Use it a lot, mainly in rooms or after overheating your main weapon. Duration of the ability and recharge: 30 seconds. Each shot shortens this time by 3 seconds.
- Scan Dart: Shoot a dart that can stick to surfaces. It informs you and your allies about possible enemies around it (this lasts for about a half a minute). The dart can also mark enemies' exact positions on a map. Use it frequently.

Level 1 (e.g. F-11D / E-5 / DC-15A)

Level 2 - A280

Modifications:
- Dual Zoom - press the melee button while using a scope to increase zoom.
- Improved Cooling - more ammo, you can shoot two additional bursts (10x3 blaster shots in total)
- Improved Range.
Level 3 - CR-2

Modifications:
- Reduced Recoil - increases accuracy.
- ION Shot - increased damage to vehicles and shields (including Heavy's Combat Shield), infantry damage reduced. Slight increase in accuracy.
- Night Vision - adds a scope that allows you to see in dark. Useful for maps that take place during a night (enemies become marked white).
Level 4 - EL-16HFE
Clip: 25 rounds Reload: fast Use: mid/long range Accuracy: high This automatic weapon can be treated as a sniper rifle. Continuous firing has a lot of recoil but the sight goes back before each shot. This means that you will have to get used to that weapon. Damage is rather low. Default scope while playing in first-person mode. | details |

- Dual Zoom - if you already like this weapon then additional zoom is all you need.
Star Cards
Here, you can find the list of all Star Cards for Assault. Cards can be created out of crafting parts or found in crates. Each one of them has 4 upgrade levels that can improve abilities or reduce time of their recharge.
