Battlefront 2: Heavy Class Guide Battlefront 2 guide, tips

Last update: 28 May 2020

A heavy uses a heavy blaster and is the least agile character. Definitely better at a short distance (and at a medium with a better weapon); great for holding points and to "scare" off enemies by using suppressive fire. This class has a little bit more health points than the rest but this difference isn't that noticeable.

Crouching with activated shield and shooting while moving forward - a good strategy for those who have just started playing as a Heavy. - Battlefront 2: Heavy Class Guide - Classes and Weapons - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
Crouching with activated shield and shooting while moving forward - a good strategy for those who have just started playing as a Heavy.

Specialty: Area Control, Defense

Mobility: Low

Team Roles: Cover fire, heavy weapons

Durability: High (200 health points)

Abilities:

  1. Impact Grenade: Explodes upon a contact with a surface/object/enemy. Deals less damage than, e.g. a Thermal Detonator but its effectiveness is higher. Especially useful when you overheat your weapon while fighting at a short distance.
  2. Sentry: The name can be misleading - this is a type of a weapon, not a gadget. Allows you to fight at a mid-range by using a chaingun that deals a lot of damage. Greatly reduces mobility, can only be used in third person mode. Can't overheat, has a time limit. Slightly increases resistance of allies who are close to the user. Sadly, using this weapon isn't comfortable. However, it has a few interesting modification cards.
Combat Shield - Battlefront 2: Heavy Class Guide - Classes and Weapons - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide
Combat Shield
  1. Combat Shield: A small force field that allows its user to shoot with their main weapon and slowly move forward. Some weapons can still hurt you (e.g. a flamethrower, melee attacks), body parts that aren't protected by it can be damaged as usual. Always remember to crouch - your legs are very vulnerable to enemy fire. Has a specific amount of durability. A very good ability.

Similar to the version above but this one deals a little bit more damage. Selected by many players due to its balance between damage and rate of fire. Great for fights inside buildings and at a shorter distance.

Explosive Sentry - Battlefront 2: Heavy Class Guide - Classes and Weapons - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide

Explosive Sentry

Sentry

You can't move while shooting. The most powerful Sentry variant with explosive shots; low rate of fire.

ION Turret - Battlefront 2: Heavy Class Guide - Classes and Weapons - Star Wars Battlefront 2 Game Guide

ION Turret

Combat Shield

Deals a lot of damage to shields and vehicles. Tracks infantry when there are no vehicles in sight.

Very weak against infantry, useless for modes without vehicles. Great reach but needs a lot of time to lock-on.
