Tips for start - Hard Beginning in Satisfactory Satisfactory Guide And Tips
Last update: 01 April 2019
You'll be informed of the objectives and receive tips how to complete them at the beginning, when transported to the surface of the planet. Nevertheless, there are a few things that will come in handy at the beginning of your adventure with Satisfactory.
- Watch out for wild animals. Most of encountered species are hostile. You can easily recognize them - they will start running towards you and attack you in various ways. Neutral animals don't react to your presence or escape. If an animal attacks you, run and jump often - this is the easiest way to defend against most opponents.
- Heal yourself using nuts and pale berries. You can find them in abundance in every region of the planet. Simply look around. Most of the time, they come in form of small bushes which hold a few pieces of edible food.
- Gather leaves and wood. Wherever you go or travel, gather encountered plants. They serve a basic type of fuel for your electricity generators in the initial stages of the game. If you do so during every trip for resources or when building your factory, you won't have to spend extra time on gathering leaves and wood.
- Focus on producing iron, copper, and stone and products based on them. Iron is a base for many products and items. Iron plates are used to build conveyors and more advanced objects and items. Copper is also a very important resource - it is used to produce cables which are used to connect your buildings to the power grid. Stone is not the most important resource, but it is used to create cement, which is necessary to expand your factory.
- Research first technologies as soon as possible. You'll get access to automatic mines and production structures. This way, you won't spend the most of your time on creating products, instead focusing on building and upgrading your factory.
- Use deconstruction tools - F button by default. Deconstruction takes place very quickly and you won't lose any resources in progress. Use this option to move buildings or reorganize existing production lines. If there were any resources on the conveyor or in buildings, they will find their way to your equipment.
- Use elevated locations to plan your base from above. To do so, you can use e.g. bluffs, cliffs, high points, or a Lookout Tower. This way, you'll expand your base faster and more easily. Start by building objects far away, then build structures closer to your position. Thanks to that, the buildings won't block each other, and you'll have an easier way expanding your factory.
- When creating items, you can hold both LMB and Space.
- Moreover, if you press and hold RMB when the inventory window is on, you'll be able to divide an item stack into a half. If you hold and move mouse left and right, you'll be able to decide how to divide the stack. Clicking Shift + LMB will move all items of the given kind, while Ctrl + LMB will enable you to mark a few stacks and prepare them for a transfer.
- When building or choosing achievements, you can add the list of needed items to the main screen of the game. Simply press RMB on the chosen object in the building menu. The game will add a new window in the upper right corner. Thanks to that, you won't get confused and will be able to focus on gathering needed resources and items.
