Production lines in Satisfactory Satisfactory Guide And Tips
Last update: 01 April 2019
In Satisfactory, expanding factories and bases is a basic step to automatize the production of various materials and products that are necessary for growth.
At the beginning, you can create simple production lines that are available after unlocking a few initial HUB upgrades. Aside from placing processing buildings and mines, you need to unlock conveyor technology and supply the biomass generator.
A simple production line can look like this:
(1) Miner
(2) Smelter
(3) Constructor and/or (4) Storage Container
All of the above are connected with Conveyor Belts and supplied with electricity (miner, smelter, constructor). This way, you'll be able to store a lot of produced materials. Start by creating Iron Plates, Iron Rods, Wires, and Cables. Throughout the game, these are your basic materials used to build many objects. A good idea would be to build production lines that offer a steady supply of these resources.
As the time progresses, you're going to need more products, which means increasing the amount of Smelters and Constructors. Unfortunately, the amount of deposits is limited, while manual supplying is time-consuming. There are two objects that can split or merge conveyors (Splitter, Merger).
Semi-advanced production line looks like this:
(1) Mine and a conveyor belt which gets split into 3 new lines thanks to Splitter
(2) 3x smelter
(3) 3x constructor - each building has a separate belt from the smelter
(4) The belts are then connected into a single line using Merger
(5) Warehouse
This way, you'll utilize the maximum potential of your mines, smelters, and constructors which don't work that fast. You can use such solution on a larger scale when producing products from iron and copper ore.
As the time progresses, you'll be able to expand your existing production lines even further, to maximize the capabilities of your production buildings. The above scheme has a lot of advantages - you'll use the mine output to a maximum and create a lot of products in a shorter period of time, during which you'll be able to focus on other stuff.
