Ratchet & Clank: Planet Pokitaru - Walkthrough Ratchet & Clank Guide
Last update: 16 April 2022
On this page of the guide to Ratchet & Clank, you will find a description of the tasks on the tenth Planet - Pokitaru. A lot of the stuff in here is hidden under the water. To explore the planet, you will need a gadget - the O2 mask, which allows Ratchet to move under the water without running out of air.
It's time for the water planet of Pokitaru. A lot of things hidden on this planet is located underwater. This is why you should first acquire one of the two gadgets here - the 02 Mask, allowing Ratchet to breathe underwater. Below you can find a detailed walkthrough of the location.
Items to unlock:
O2 Mask - a gadget acquired for completing one of the side objectives. It allows Ratchet to breathe underwater.
Thrusterpack - a gadget acquired for completing one of the main objectives. This is basically an upgraded version of the Helipack.
Objectives:
- Meet up with Felton Razz
- Find the Engineer
- Destroy the hydroharvesters
- Get rid of the ameboids at the pumping station
- Find a way to the top of the waterfall
Meet up with Felton Razz
After regaining control over your character, visit the nearby store - there's no new weapon here to purchase, but it's worth to stock up on supplies if you haven't done so on the previous planet. When you're done shopping, head downstairs to have a conversation with the character awaiting you there. When it's over you will be given a new objective.
Find the Engineer
Your main goal here is to look for the Engineer. Felton Razz will take you there - you just have to follow him. Head to the lower level and approach the raft moored at the beach. A familiar enemy (first met on Gaspar) will await you there - this time it won't drop any brains upon death. Get on board of the raft and eliminate the fish that jump on you and try to damage you. A perfect weapon for this section is the Pyrocitor.
When you're back on the solid ground, you must still follow Felton Razz. When you enter a place with shallow water, don't go straight ahead yet. Instead, turn to the left and jump on a small elevated shelf, located to the right of a waterfall. There's a Raritarium deposit for you to destroy. Collect the crystals and follow Felton until you reach another raft. Jump on it and eliminate a next group of fish that try to attack you.
After reaching the solid ground, climb up the stairs and jump across the parts of the bridge. There's a button on the ground on the other side - press it so that Felton can join you. Continue your journey until you reach a small plaza with a few buildings on it. Get rid of the enemies and then run around the round building located to the right of the stairs - there's a holocard there.
Jump across another hidden bridge, this time by using the harpoon. Eliminate the enemies on the other side and press the button on the ground to let Felton join you. You will soon reach the end of this route. Eliminate the enemies and head with Felton to a meeting with the Engineer, which will initiate a cut-scene.
After the cut-scene ends, visit the store to replenish supplies and use Raritarium. Afterwards, leave the building and head to the left, where the two of your companions can be found. Get on the raft and wait until you reach the starting point. Approach the engineer to start up a new cut-scene, during which he will upgrade your ship. The objective will now be finished.
Destroy the hydroharvesters
You will now be controlling your ship. You now have access not only to the on-board machineguns, but also to tesla rockets. Those must be used to destroy the 3 hydroharvesters in the area, ships resembling giant caterpillars. However, the amount of rocket you can carry is limited and you have to constantly resupply. In order to do so, you must destroy smaller enemy ships. That will give you both tesla rocket ammo, as well as health that will repair your ship.
Each one of the hydroharvesters must be hit with 4 rockets. Attack them only when you have the ammo for this weapon, and when you run out if it shoot down a few enemy ships to replenish it. Repeat the whole process a few times and the skies should be clear of any enemy hydroharvester. The objective will be completed and you will land on solid ground. Additionally, you will be given a new gadget - Thrusterpack. This is basically an upgraded version of the Helipack, allowing for higher and further jumps.
Get rid of the ameboids at the pumping station
To the north of your ship a new mechanism will appear. Approach it and interact with it to open a new entrance by the water surface. Afterwards, head to the said entrance and use the teleport located inside to reach the pumping station.
When you arrive, head straight ahead, jump into the water and swim to the neighboring room on the right side. Get rid of the enemy and use the Hydrodisplacer to pump out the water. Jump down and get back to the previous room, where another Trespasser Puzzle terminal awaits you. Interact with it and solve the puzzle - the correct laser arrangement can be seen on the above screenshot.
Get back to the place you pumped the water out at and put it back in. Afterwards, go through the gate opened by solving the Trespasser Puzzle. You will stumble upon a large group of green, blob-like enemies here. You can use the Pyrocitor to deal with them, which will also allow you to gain few extra Raritarium crystals (provided that you've done the necessary upgrades to the weapon).
After you're done with the enemies, activate the mechanism located in the middle of room. It will set the moving ledges in motion. You must now use them to climb to the top of this room. Don't rush and jump carefully, as falling down will cause you to repeat the whole climbing part. There's another Trespasser Puzzle awaiting you at the top - the proper laser arrangement can be seen on the above screenshot.
There's another underwater section awaiting you in the next room. Before you jump into the water, however, throw a Proton Drum there. This will destroy all nearby exploding boxes, allowing you to enter the water without any worries. Dive underwater and head to the next room while trying to swim close to the exploding boxes to activate them. When they blow up go back there and collect the bolts.
Dive again and head towards the next tunnel, but don't enter it yet. Instead, activate one of the closest exploding boxes and move back. Wait for it to explode, causing a chain reaction and clearing out the tunnel from explosives. Dive again and swim to the other room.
Eliminate the enemies located here and activate the mechanism placed right in front of the force field. After it's gone, enter the newly opened room and pick up the new gadget - the 02 Mask. This allows you to move underwater freely, as Ratchet won't be running out of air. This will come in handy during the exploration of this planet. Collect the treasure and use the teleport to get back near the ship.
Find a way to the top of the waterfall
Here comes the last objective, as well as the chance to acquire few extra items. At the beginning head to the first raft you used with Felton Razz, the one located near your ship. Stand on the edge of the raft and jump into the water. Dive under it and head to the left - there will be Gold Bolt located underneath a ring-like object.
Head to the place marked on the above screenshot. Afterwards, dive underwater and swim through the cave located beneath you. Resurface on the other side and climb up the rocks to reach solid ground. Use the harpoon to get to the other side of the abyss and head straight ahead towards the explosive boxes.
Eliminate the enemies, destroy the explosive boxes and use another attachment point with your harpoon to get next to the wall on the left side. Climb up the ledges and continue straight ahead, eliminating the enemies on your way. You should soon reach the edge of the mountain, where a familiar from the planet Gaspar enemy will appear. Get rid of it and a Gold Bolt will appear on the edge.
After collecting the treasure, stand on the edge and locate a small island, on which a single palm tree is growing. You must now get there. Jump into the water and swim to the island-like object. Climb up the wall to reach the top of the rock and collect the Gold Bolt located there.
Still standing on top of the rock with the Gold Bolt, turn around in the direction of the previous bolt's location. On the right side of the screen, behind the raft moored at the beach you will notice a small island. There's a Raritarium deposit on it. Pick it up and use the ship to reach Deplanetizer.
