Epic dungeons, arenas and Rifts MU Legend Guide

Last update: 29 November 2017

Getting experience and leveling up is the main goal of many players when they start the game. However, at some point (after reaching level 65) you will have to visit dungeons regularly. Dungeons are closed instances where you won't come across other players (besides those who are in your party). Clearing them allows you to get various items that are necessary in developing your character. The game has a few types of dungeons - normal, Epic, Rifts, Room of Duty and AI Arena.

Normal dungeons

Normal dungeons are places connected to story elements. Many quests lead there and killing all enemies, including a boss, is necessary to complete a mission. These places don't stand out that much when compared to other places - they don't offer any special rewards and they don't have a limited number of entries.

Epic dungeons are the most difficult ones in the game. They can only be accessed by players at level 65 with a certain Combat Power and clearing them alone is almost impossible - going there with a party is a much better idea. There, you can find powerful items - gear with the highest ranks and parts of a set. These places are only for the most experienced players who can beat other dungeons without any problems.

Rifts

Rifts can be accessed by all players, regardless of their level. - Epic dungeons, arenas and Rifts - Dungeons - MU Legend Game Guide
Rifts can be accessed by all players, regardless of their level.

Rifts are dungeons that are available right after you start the game - they can be explored even by players who are at level 1. These dungeons adjust to player's level - a character with level 30 will face enemies with the same level. When it comes to parties, monsters have the same level as the strongest character in a team.

Rifts are perfect for finding new items fast. Equipment that is dropped here isn't of the highest quality but beating these dungeons takes about a few to a dozen minutes. Their entrances are located in various places on the map - they are marked by a specific icon.

Dungeons in Room of Duty

Room of Duty has a few additional dungeons. - Epic dungeons, arenas and Rifts - Dungeons - MU Legend Game Guide
Room of Duty has a few additional dungeons.

Room of Duty is a special part of Ohrdor where you can find a few additional dungeons. These places are:

  1. Fabrice's Garden - available after reaching level 25. This place is great for leveling up your Pets (they can get a lot of experience) and getting new ones. You can enter this place once a day.
  2. Magic Gem Mine - available after reaching level 35. Allows you to get a lot of Magic Gems. You can enter this place once a day.
  3. Blood Castle - available after reaching level 45. The goal here is to beat the boss as quickly as possible - the faster you are, the better reward you get. You can enter this place twice a day.
  4. Luery's Secret Vault - available after reaching level 55. This place allows you to get a lot of Zen. You can enter this place once a day.
  5. Endless Tower - available after reaching level 65. You have to beat 100 floors. Difficulty goes up with each new floor but you also get better rewards. You can enter this place twice a day.
  6. Lupa's Labyrinth - available after reaching level 65. The only dungeon that can be entered as many times as you want. This place is for growing artifacts and getting crafting materials to create new ones.

AI Arena

AI Arena allows you to face characters of other players. - Epic dungeons, arenas and Rifts - Dungeons - MU Legend Game Guide
AI Arena allows you to face characters of other players.

AI Arena is a place where you can fight 1 on 1 with characters of other players. This mode (PvP) is much less challenging than regular fights because you face AI controlled characters. You can have up to 10 fights per entry and each win rewards you with a certain amount of Magic Gems. You can enter this place once a day.

Difficulty level and Subjugate

Most of the dungeons can be beaten in a simple way - just reach them, go inside and defeat its boss. However, if you don't have much time, you can also adjust their difficulty level and use Subjugate mechanic to speed up this process.

Difficulty levels and their impact on dungeons

Difficulty levels allow you to adjust dungeons to your abilities. - Epic dungeons, arenas and Rifts - Dungeons - MU Legend Game Guide
Difficulty levels allow you to adjust dungeons to your abilities.

Difficulty level can be adjusted before entering most of the dungeons. This has an impact on a few things:

  1. Monsters' health points - how long it will take you to eliminate them.
  2. Monsters' attack points - damage dealt by monsters.
  3. Collected gold - amount of Zen that will be dropped by monsters.
  4. Chance to get a rare item - a chance, displayed as a percentage, that a monster will drop a more valuable item.
  5. Experience points.

Remember that higher difficulty levels give monsters a lot more strength - there is no point in going into a dungeon with a level higher than normal (or hard - the second out of five available ones) if your character isn't at level 65. Don't use higher levels to get more experience - you won't even notice the increase but you will have to face monsters that are a few more times stronger than you!

Subjugate

Most of the dungeons (excluding Lupa's Labyrinth and Epic dungeons) can be beaten in a normal way but you can also use Subjugate mechanic. This mechanic allows you to automatize a process of clearing a dungeon. This means that completing one of them can take you only a few seconds.

However, this mechanic has two restrictions - you need premium currency (Redzen or Bound Redzen) and you get only a certain part of potential rewards. The price is the same for both currencies, the only differences are prizes - Bound Redzen allows you to get 60% of potential rewards while Redzen gives you 80% of them.

This mechanic is useful when you don't have time to clear a dungeon by yourself. Prices aren't that high, everyone can get Bound Redzen by logging in regularly and even 60% of potential rewards gives you a chance to receive a powerful item or a valuable crafting material.
