Crafting and crafting tips MU Legend Guide
Last update: 29 November 2017
Crafting allows all players to create their own items. Initially, it gives you access to items that have a similar quality to those dropped by regular monsters. However, with new levels, their quality goes up significantly - at level 65 all players are able to create the most powerful items in the game, provided that they have necessary materials.
Crafting items
The crafting process is very simple. To start it you must visit the Craftsman in Tempano city (a "hammer" icon on the map). There, you can see two tabs that contain hundreds of various items. Now, simply select an item, gather a required amount of crafting materials and start the process. There is no risk here - each item has 100% chance of being created.
Crafting materials
There are a few ways of obtaining crafting materials:
- Dismantling useless items and turning them into crafting materials. Armor or weapons merchants can dismantle any items (weapons, armors, gems) and convert them into crafting materials that you can use to craft new pieces of equipment.
- Picking up items from fallen enemies - sometimes, enemies may drop crafting materials.
- Killing bosses. Some crafting materials, especially the rarest ones, can only be obtained by defeating bosses. These materials are usually for crafting special items such as weapons and armors with a name of a boss in their own name.
Tips
Remember about these few things before you start crafting by yourself:
- Don't waste crafting materials until you reach level 65. Crafting requires a lot of materials and you get new levels rather fast which means that you won't use a given weapon for too long because you will find another, more powerful, one.
- Don't waste crafting materials on making "whatever". Think twice, maybe it is better to just get that item (e.g. in a Rift) or buy it on an auction. Save your materials for the rarest items.
- All crafted items are automatically bound to a character who created them. To sell a crafted object you need a certain item (Unbind Scroll) to "unbind" that item from your character.
