Alchemy - creating artifacts and upgrade MU Legend Guide

Artifacts are powerful items that can be created after reaching level 65. They give your character great bonuses - increased defense, damage or ability to get all buffs are only some of the possible effects. Getting them isn't easy but they are worth your effort. In this chapter you can learn about getting materials, crafting process and ways of using them.

Crafting artifacts

To craft artifacts you will need rare crafting materials.

The process of crafting artifacts isn't that complicated - open "Manage Artifacts" menu ("X" is the default key), go to "Craft" tab, select an item that you want and start crafting. The problem here is to get all necessary materials - items that are required for even the simplest artifacts can be found in Lupa's Labyrinth, a dungeon that you can access at level 65. However, you can enter this labyrinth as many times as you want - there are no daily limits here.

Using and upgrading artifacts

After creating an artifact, you get two options - you can use it or upgrade. To equip it you must open "Manage Artifact" window (the same one in which you craft these items), select your artifact and press "Equip". The bonuses offered by this item are now added to your character.

When you get an artifact, you need to equip it with your character.

To upgrade an artifact, you need to open the same window that you opened when you wanted to equip this item, select an artifact and press "Start growing" button. Then, you have to visit Lupa's Labyrinth - your artifact will get a lot of points there from defeated monsters.

Artifacts start at level 1 and can reach level 100. Each level gives them bonuses to their stats (more information can be found in the description of each of the artifacts) and they get additional bonuses at level 20. Remember to start growing one of your artifacts before you enter Lupa's Labyrinth - otherwise, you will lose all potential experience points!

Alchemizing artifacts

Artifacts also have an additional use - alchemizing artifacts. This process is available thanks to Alchemy Merchant who can be found in, e.g. Ohrdor city. During alchemizing artifact process you destroy them to get crafting materials that are required for crafting the most powerful items in the game. This process requires artifacts with, at least, level 20. However, higher levels have no impact on your final result - you don't have to destroy artifacts with levels that are higher than the required level 20.
