Dark Lord - MU Legend character classes Good tank in MU Legend - Guide
Last update: 30 November 2017
Dark Lord is a class that works best as a party leader - they are great as tanks by focusing enemies' attention on them and allow their teammates to kill these monsters. They also have various skills that allow Dark Lords to strengthen and heal their allies or weaken enemies.
Dark Lord in MU Legend
Just like the rest of the classes, Dark Lords can fight with two types of weapons - a scepter and a shield or a two-handed bludgeon. The first set is useful when your character needs to focus enemies' attention - a shield, combined with various abilities of this class, allow your character to sustain a lot of damage. Two-handed bludgeons are useful for players who prefer to play alone - they let your character use powerful area attacks that deal much more damage than a shield and a scepter combo.
The biggest flaw of this class is its low mobility. Dark Lord has only one ability that allows them to shorten distance between you and your enemy. This means that fights with more agile and mobile enemies as well as with those who try to keep their distance can be very problematic. Low damage is also a problem, especially when fighting with a boss - those battles can drag.

Expert skills
The Dark Lord, similarly to all other classes, has access to 6 expert skills. Each of them features passive and active part. The skills are:
- Strategy - the passive part increases agro (chance that the enemy will attack this character). The passive part enables the player to lure nearby enemy and deal damage to them.
- Immunity - the passive part increases chance for block by 10% and makes each successful block regenerate 1% of maximum health. Active part makes the Dark lord invulnerable to damage for 4 seconds. A great skill for players who most of all want to survive.
- Death - passive part makes the weapon skills reduce enemy's defense for 5 seconds. Active part summons ghosts that will attack nearby enemies.
- Encouragement - the passive part increases defense of nearby allies. Active part enables you to summon a mount that will ignore collisions and consume 30% of all damage.
- Devastation - passive part provides 10% chance for a successful attack to provide boost to dealt damage for 5 seconds. Active part enables you to summon Rugard's statue to selected place - the skill can be charged in order to deal more damage. It is a perfect skill for players who prefer aggressive gameplay.
- March - passive part makes the Dark Lord regenerate 1% of health points each second for each party member nearby. Active part enables the player to improve strength, attack speed and mobility of the party.
Tips
You should remember about the following things:
- Check carefully all available skills for this class - especially those connected to particular weapons - and think which playstyle suits you better. You can create an almost immortal character by using a scepter and a shield or a killing machine that can crush dozens of enemies with a two-handed bludgeon. Remember that you can switch between these weapons freely and use their own abilities.
- This class requires a good mana management. Dark Lord's abilities recharge quickly but they deplete your mana really fast and force you to use the regular attacks. You should keep your mana at about 50% - you can always use a more "demanding" ability when a situation calls for it.
- This class is great for playing in a party. Even if you are unable to play in full party, you should, at least, try to play with one friend. Dark Lord can cooperate with classes that focus on damage (such as Whisperer) allowing them to focus on attacking enemies.
- Use numerous Crowd Control effects to weaken monsters. Dark Lord can pull, push, toss and stun enemies - monsters can't attack when these effects are active which means that your character can survive longer.
- Try to fight with large groups of enemies. Dark Lord isn't great for fights with single enemies. However, this class is exceptionally good at fighting with groups - they can kill multiple enemies in a blink of an eye.
- If you want to spend some time on farming gold or items then you should focus attention of a few enemies on you first. Then, activate all Dark Lord's offensive skills one after another to clear an area in a few seconds. Repeat the process. Thanks to that you will be able to kill groups of more than 20 enemies every 15-20 seconds.
- Use Vicious Charge skill to eliminate this class' greatest weakness - low mobility. This is the only available charge for this class. It deals quite a lot of damage and also creates a lot of aggro that forces enemies to attack Dark Lord - the ability is great for focusing enemies' attention on you instead of your party members.
- Dark Lord is also great as a support. Rugard's Protection offers a good bonus to defense to all allies, Purification removes all negative statuses, Holy Light heals and increases health regeneration speed, Protective Touch casts silence on enemies, deals damage and heals all allies that are in this ability's reach.
- Protective Touch is worth using regardless of your role. This skill deals a good amount of damage, casts silence on enemies (stunned foes can't use their abilities) and regenerates a lot of health (including your party members). It also speeds up movement. This skill is also great when you are playing solo - it gives you something similar to healing and greatly increases your character's chance to survive.
- Choose expert skills wisely. The defensive ones like Immunity (offers you invulnerability to attacks for 4 seconds and regenerate 1% of your health when blocking with a shield) as well as those offensive like Strategy (increases aggro of nearby enemies, attracting and damaging them) are all useful.
