A classic role-playing game by Monolith Software, supervised by Bandai Namco. The game is based on the popular manga series by Akira Toriyama. The story of Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans takes place between the famous martial arts tournament, in which Goku and Piccolo participated, and the Saiyan invasion of Earth. The plot is divided into 15 chapters, in which you have to complete over 80 varied quests. The game features a range of characters from the animated original (e.g. Goku, Krillin, Yamcha), and the gameplay consists of exploration, developing your characters, and combat with enemies. The battles are turn-based, and up to three characters can take part in them. Apart from standard foes, there are also more challenging boss enemies. One of the game's strong points are the visuals, reflecting the original style of the manga.

An action-adventure game by Game Republic, and a direct sequel to the first installment of the series. The story begins at the moment in which Dragon Ball: Origins ended. You discover the further fate of Goku, who has to face the Red Ribbon Army, which wants to take over the world. Unlike its predecessor, this time you control not only the protagonist, but also other characters from the animated series, such as Yamcha and Krillin. Like in the first game in the series, the gameplay was inspired by that of the Legend of Zelda franchise. The game utilizes an isometric view, and apart from exploration and combat, it also features platform and logic puzzle stages. Dragon Ball: Origins 2 allows you to play either on your own or in the multiplayer mode. Apart from the story mode, there is also the Survival Tower mode, in which you battle extremely strong opponents in special arenas.

A sequel to the fighting game by Banpresto, developed mainly for the Game Boy Advance. The game was based on the wildly popular manga by Akira Toriyama. The gameplay of Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 focuses on spectacular battles, involving such characters as Goku, Piccolo or Cell. The game features a distinct team battle system, in which you fight using up to three warriors. You can switch from one to another or issue group orders. This gives the battles a tactical aspect. It is also worth noting that each of the sixteen playable characters has an unique fighting system and attacks, which can be further expanded by the transformation into a “superwarrior.” The game makes use of the Nintendo DS capabilities, such as the dual screen, and features 2D visuals, stylistically based on the original manga.
