An arcade production developed by XMPT Games. Players take part in disc duels which require not only working out a proper tactic, but also skills and quick reactions. The backbone of DiscStorm is the multiplayer mode, in which players battle each other in special arenas – the key to success lies in hitting your opponents without being being hit yourself. Once you run out of lives, you drop out of the tournament.

Developed by Pixel Lantern, an independent studio from Germany, a 2D platformer with roguelike elements. The player takes control of the titular bard whose gold is stolen by a sly goblin. In order to get the gold back, the bard sets off on a dangerous journey. Bard’s Gold features a side-view – there are over 100 levels filled to capacity with various dangerous traps and enemies.

A mix of an arcade and puzzle game for mobile devices, developed by HyperLiger studio. The gameplay focuses on designing complex labyrinths, filled with blind corners, corridors, traps and monsters. Although we start by constructing simple mazes, we gain access to more interesting elements as we progress through the game, but only if we can afford them. The currency is obtained through beating the maze or from the characters that challenge our creation.

An unusual game from A Stranger Gravity studio, designed as a form of interactive meditation. The player begins his adventure with one bird, trying to influence the direction of its flight. With time, our pupil is joined by other birds, creating a small flock. To maintain fluid pace and speed, we need to stick with the air currents – they are the ones allowing our group to “spread its wings”.
Gauntlet: Slayer Edition

An upgraded version of Gauntlet, a title with arcade origins known from early stages of PC gaming. The remade version (released in 2014 on PC) was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a new incarnation of a dungeon crawler released on arcade machines in 1985. The players enter a fantasy world, and their task is to explore grim dungeons inhabited by dangerous monsters (giant spiders, armed skeletons), or even ghosts.

The player assumes the role of the titular Commander Cherry, a famous adventurer and inventor from another dimension. The gameplay focuses on traversing varied levels, jumping between platforms, avoiding traps and gathering items.
Airscape: The Fall of Gravity

Airscape: The Fall of Gravity is set in the far reaches of the universe and you play as an unusual squid, defending its home planet from high-tech machines. A port of a 3DS arcade game Azure Strike Gunvolt by Inti Creates studio. We are given a two-dimensional, side-scrolling action game, in which we go through stages and deal with incoming enemies until we reach a boss. Compared to its predecessor, Gal Gunvolt offers 4 more levels: Factory, Bio Lab, Highway and Gym, which in previous game were available in the form of paid add-ons. We can choose one of three different characters in form of Mighty Gunvolt, Ekoro with Gal Gun and Mighty No. 9.
Sling Kong

A two-dimensional arcade game for mobile devices, created by Protostar. The player assumes control of a monkey with remarkable stretching ability. The mechanics of Sling Kong are somewhat similar to the Angry Birds series. Our monkey has the ability to shoot itself, like a sling shot, using its elastic arms in certain points. There is only one way for us to to go, and that is up – a task which is made difficult by the fact that the points disappear after a short while.

An exclusive bundle of thirty, more or less classic, games created by Rare studio (for some time also known as Rareware) between 1983 and 2008. Those include titles like Sabre Wulf, Knight Lore, Killer Instinct Gold, Banjo-Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Kameo: Elements of Power or Viva Pinata. Sadly, some of their iconic productions, like Donkey Kong, are still owned by Nintendo, and thus they are not included in Rare Replay.
GALAK-Z

A two-dimensional shoot ‘em up arcade game developed by the 17-bit studio. In GALAK-Z, we assume the role of a space fighter pilot who has to face enemies armed to the teeth and hostile environmental conditions. Although the general gameplay premise isn’t really different from the genre’s standards, the developers introduced several innovations. The first is the control model based on two analog sticks that we use to move and shoot, while special attacks are assigned to gamepad buttons.

The second full-fledged installment in an extremely popular action-logic game franchise that earned the Finnish studio Rovio worldwide fame. After a string of spin-offs that combined the original gameplay with elements from other genres, this title goes back to the roots of the franchise, using well-known mechanics with a handful of new solutions. What is different, is the design of levels, which now feature not just of a single structure but also contribute to a larger entity.

The action of Red Game Without a Great Name takes place in a future in which outdated communication methods, such as traditional mail, are still in use. Considering the trouble ordinary messengers would have to go through to reach certain places, some parcels are delivered by dedicted mechanical birds.

An arcade platform game developed by Metanet Software that is an updated version of N+ - a title known from portable consoles. The new version doesn’t change the mechanics of the game – as always, we assume the role of a ninja that traverses dangerous levels, trying to reach the exit and gather as many coins as possible in the process. Our character doesn’t have a weapon – their only way to get away safely is to avoid the dangers along the way.

It was developed by two independent programmers: Adrian Stutz and Florian Faller and has won many industry awards, including Excellence in Visual Arts. We play as a little creature that only moves to the right, traversing levels filled with traps and enemies. Our character can fight back by throwing objects or attacking with a stick, while he retains his distance.

An old-school arcade game, developed by Klobit, an independent studio known for other similar titles. The developers took inspiration not only from 8-bit classics, but also 1980s science fiction anime. The action of Capsule Force takes place in a distant future, in the eve of an intergalactic war. With the threat of apocalypse looming nearby, the galactic leaders have decided to begin an aggressive program of colonization, using futuristic capsules, which creates various internal conflicts.
Tembo the Badass Elephant

A fast-paced platformer from Game Freak studio, in which the players control the titular war elephant, a nod to John Rambo, and must protect Free Shell city from the mysterious organization known as Phantom, led by a masked villain. Tembo the Badass Elephant offers seventeen different stages, with a few puzzles to solve and many more enemies to eliminate. Those include more powerful foes we meet from time to time that require coming up with appropriate tactic.

An independent 2D platform game, inspired by classic 8- and 16-bit console hits. Cast of the Seven Godsends: Redux takes the players to a traditional fantasy world, in which evil emperor Zaraaima kidnaps the newborn child of Darec, the king of the realm. To rescue his son, the king has to ask for the help of seven gods, and embark on a dangerous journey. During his travels, the monarch has to defeat hordes of monsters to finally stand face to face with the kidnapper.

An unusual arcade game from the South Korean studio Bulosodeuk. The story focuses on items that have spent too much time on the shelves of One Hundred Denarii shop. They come to life after the owner leaves and share with each other the stories about their previous incarnations. This lets us follow a pot which used to be a shuriken or a cleaver that was made out of a ball’s remains.

A rhythm-oriented music game for PS Vita developed by Bandai Namco. Similarly to the previous installments of the series, the gameplay is focused around an uncomplicated premise – we have to beat out a rhythm on taiko drums, using a few buttons that correspond with the symbols appearing on the screen. The difficulty level, chosen before starting the game, determines the frequency of their appearance and the type of additional challenges.

The protagonist runs down a crumbling, randomly generated hill and he must stay alive by performing as many moves as possible. However, this is hindered not only by various traps, but also animals and drivers that cross our way. Our actions are constantly rated with points, and the stars that we collect throughout the game can be used to unlock more than 60 additional characters.

A futuristic sports game created by Psyonix Studios. This is a sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars released in 2008 on PS3. The game features an extraordinary version of soccer, in which players drive uniquely customized rocket-powered cars, trying to get the ball into the opponent’s goal. Cars possess an array of special powers, which can be modified as you progress with over a hundred different gadgets.
