Capsule Force for PS4 and PC is a multiplayer-oriented old-school arcade game in which players clash on arenas inspired by space anime movies from the 1980s. The game was developed by Klobit, a studio specializing in anime-inspired titles.

Plot

The action of the game takes us to near future, where the threat of intergalactic war forced the galaxy leaders to increase colonization efforts using technologically advanced capsules. As can easily be imagined, such situation had to lead to conflicts. The game allows us to choose one of two factions in conflict.

Mechanics

Capsule Force for PS4 and PC focuses on dynamic rivalry of two teams consisting of two players. The games take place on five varied arenas, while the players use a set of tools such as traditional weaponry, cannons, lasers, and energetic shields. Aside from the opposing team, we need to watch out for numerous traps that are laid along the way to enemy base.

Technical Aspects

Aside from a local multiplayer mode for up to 4 players, the game introduces a singleplayer mode, which is treated as a kind of training before the game’s premier mode. Capsule Force is characteristic for its 8-bit visuals, characterized by a modest amount of pixels, and a meager color palette. Considering the style of the gameplay, the players are encouraged to use gamepads.
