An upgraded version of Gauntlet, a title with arcade origins known from early stages of PC gaming. The remade version (released in 2014 on PC) was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a new incarnation of a dungeon crawler released on arcade machines in 1985. The players enter a fantasy world, and their task is to explore grim dungeons inhabited by dangerous monsters (giant spiders, armed skeletons), or even ghosts.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition Description

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is an enhanced version of Gauntlet of 2014 for PCs, released for PlayStation 4. The developers focused mainly on improving the gameplay mechanics which resulted in a new game mode and increased balance. Better graphics that ensure prettier character models and more detailed environments are another attraction.

The title is another installment in the cult dungeon crawler series initiated by Atari back in 1985 on gaming machines. This time around, the game was produced by Arrowhead Game Studios, the creators of Magicka. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is distributed via digital channels only.

In the game, we assume control of a group of adventurers who traverse the dungeons inhabited by dangerous creatures and ghosts. The player assumes the role of a warrior that belongs to the selected character class – Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf or Wizard. Each of them is characterized by different powers and skills, for example: Warrior is proficient at melee combat, while Wizard is a master of magic. The heroes must face various enemies, from ghosts and demons to spiders and living skeletons. One of the most important elements of Gauntlet is the cooperation mode for up to four players. The developers made sure that the multiplayer is playable via both LAN and the Internet.

The whole is embellished with simple and pleasurable graphics similar to those of the original game.
