A port of a 3DS arcade game Azure Strike Gunvolt by Inti Creates studio. We are given a two-dimensional, side-scrolling action game, in which we go through stages and deal with incoming enemies until we reach a boss. Compared to its predecessor, Gal Gunvolt offers 4 more levels: Factory, Bio Lab, Highway and Gym, which in previous game were available in the form of paid add-ons.
Gal Gunvolt is a remaster of Azure Striker Gunvolt released in August 2014 on the Nintendo 3DS. The title was developed by Japanese Inti Creates studio and is a 2D side-scroller action game, in which the gameplay consists in completing successive levels and eliminating opponents standing in our way.
Mechanics
Gal Gunvolt has been enriched with four additional levels (Factory, Bio Lab, Highway and Gym), which were previously added to the game in the form of a paid DLC. This means that Gal Gunvolt provides a total of nine levels and the same number of bosses that await at the end of each stage. There are also three playable characters - Mighty Gunvolt, Ekoro from Gal Gun and Beck from Mighty No. 9. Each of them is characterized by different skills and available weapons, which makes the gameplay more diverse.
Technical aspects
Gal Gunvolt offers pleasant colors and nice, manga-style visuals. By adapting it to a more modern platform, the game now offers slightly better character models and a little bit higher quality texture than Azure Striker Gunvolt.
