If you played the first Frostpunk, you probably remember that keeping everything warm was quite a challenge. You had to upgrade the generator to increase its range and power. However, it still did not cover the entire area and additional heat sources had to be installed.

In Frostpunk 2, the entire process has been simplified. The generator and the entire heating mechanics operate largely automatically.

1. The heating area has been replaced by heat demand. The indicator at the top of the screen tells you exactly how much heat you need to generate.
2. The generator will automatically adjust its operation to the current heat demand.

How to mine coal?

You will find a coal deposit in your city. You can place an Extraction District on it, which will extract the resource for you. In the technology tree you will find a series of buildings to increase coal production.

However, you must remember that the deposit in the city are limited . So you need to conduct an expedition outside its area as quickly as possible.
