The fifth season entered Fortnite and kicked down the door. Following a major marketing campaign, Epic Games unveiled its cards and provided users with the opportunity to purchase a Battle Pass for 950 v-dollars. Of course, the price is exactly the same as in previous seasons (according to your currency), and players who saved "vbucks" in the previous season will not have to pay in real currency. Similar to season four, you'll find up a hundred of levels to unlock in Battle Pass, and lots of skins, emotes, lines, gliders, harvesters and more.

There are some differences in leveling system and weekly challenges. The first difference consists in gaining experience in order to unlock the different stages of Drift's and Ragnarok's skins. In last season, there were players who didn't have much time to unlock the best things in cause of the high amount of experience they needed to gain. This time, developers listened to all requests of Sunday players. If you don't manage to unlock the sixth stage of your Ragnarok or Drift skin, you will be able to do so after the end of the season. The challenges to get this skins will not be removed. The second thing is also to meet the requirements of players who, for some reason, cannot buy a Battle Pass. In this season, the weekly challenges are divided into two parts. Each weekly event contains seven challenges, three of which can be performed by all players and four only by Battle Pass holders. This means that even if you do not have one, it will be easier for you to receive the final prizes from the Free Pass.

As in season four, you will find a special event in season five called Road Trip Challenges. Performing all challenges of seven different weeks will guarantee an additional, legendary skin, but its appearance is still kept in secret.

Road Trip Challenges

1. Complete all the challenges in the week - Loading screen + star to find.
2. Complete all the challenges of two different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.
3. Complete all the challenges in three different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.
4. Complete all the challenges in four different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.
5. Complete all the challenges in five different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.
6. Complete all the challenges in six different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.
7. Complete all the challenges in seven different weeks - Loading screen + star to find.

After all seven tasks have been completed, you will be rewarded with a legendary skin.

Drift Challenges

1. Get 10,000 experience points - reward: shirt.
2. Get 25,000 experience points - reward: jacket.
3. Get 50,000 experience points - reward: mask.
4. Get 100,000 experience points - reward: coat or harvesting tool.
5. Get 200,000 experience points - reward: glow effects for coat.

Ragnarok Challenges

1. Get 35,000 experience points - reward: armor.
2. Get 75,000 experience points - reward: black suit.
3. Get 125,000 experience points - reward: beard.
4. Get 250,000 experience points - reward: mask or harvesting tool.
5. Get 500,000 experience points - reward: glow effects.

Week 1 Challenges

Free Pass:

1. Deal damage with SMG to opponents.
2. Search a Llama.
3. Clinger, Stinky Bomb or grenade eliminations.

Battle Pass:

1. Search chests in Snobby Shores.
2. Search floating Lightning Bolts (1).
3. Follow the treasure map found in Risky Reels (2).
4. Eliminate opponents in Retail Row.

Week 2 Challenges

Free Pass:

1. Deal damage with assault rifles to opponents.
2. Search 7 ammo boxes in one match.
3. Eliminate opponents in Paradise Palms.

Battle Pass:

1. Score 3 points at different basketball courts (3).
2. Search chests in Loot Lake.
3. Search between an oasis, rock archway and dinosaurs (4).
4. Eliminate opponents with sniper rifles.

Week 3 Challenges

Free Pass:

1. Deal damage to opponents in a single match.
2. Use a launchpad.
3. Follow the treasure map found in Flush Factory (5).

Battle Pass:

1. Search chests in Fatal Fields.
2. Shoot a Clay Pigeon at different locations (6).
3. Eliminate opponents in Haunted Hills.
4. Eliminate opponents with explosive weapons.

Week 4 Challenges

Free Pass:

1. Built structures.
2. Jump through flaming hoops using a shopping cart or ATK (7).
3. Eliminate opponents in Dusty Divot.

Battle Pass:

1. Deal damage with a sniper rifle to your opponents.
2. Search chests in the Flush Factory.
3. Search between a gas station, soccer pitch and Stunt Mountain (8).
4. Pistol eliminations.

Week 5 challenges

Free Pass

1. Search chests in Junk Junction.
2. Use rift portals (9).
3. Eliminate three opponents in a single match.

Battle Pass:

1. Deal damage to players with a Clinger, Stinky Bomb or Grenade.
2. Hit a golf ball from tee to green on different holes (10) (Note! All golf holes can be found in Lazy Links!).
3. Follow the treasure map found in Snobby Shores (11).
4. Eliminate opponents in Shifty Shafts.
