You don't need to keep very close to the Smuggler, but be careful not to lose the icon on the minimap.

Your task is to follow the Smuggler to his hideout (it is best if you stay unnoticed) and then killing him. First, go to the place shown on the map where you should get inside the car and wait until the Smuggler arrives. When he goes past your position, start following him carefully. You have to chase him all the way to his hideout - the Smuggler can't get too far from you, as you will fail the mission. If you're noticed, the Smuggler will start driving faster, which will make the task more difficult, but not impossible to complete. Allow the target to go past you, as there is an escort there that can spot you - start following him after a few seconds and remember that you cannot yet kill the Smuggler.

Prepare an ambush and open fire from behind a cover or throw some grenades at the group of enemies.

After a short ride and reaching a crossroads, the game will be saved, Smuggler's escort will slow down and he will go to the Vault. You can now start the fight - your task is to kill the Smuggler, but the Vault is pretty well guarded. It is good to throw 2 or 3 grenades to quickly eliminate the enemies standing in a group.

The diamonds can be found on the table.

After dealing with enemy soldiers, search the Smuggler's body and take his key to the Vault. Go inside and kill two soldiers. Take the items from the table.

There's a welcoming committee outside the cave.

When leaving the Vault, be careful as you will encounter some enemies. Don't rush into the fight, but stay inside and eliminate at least some of them. Then, sprint to your car and escape the blue area. Now you only have to deliver the diamonds to the right place and you will complete the mission.
