Chapter 8 - Premiere | Walkthrough Guide The Evil Within 2
Last update: 08 November 2017
During Chapter 8 of the story campaign, you finally get to face Stefano, whom you have been tracking for several chapters now.
Take down Stefano and save Lily
Upon entering the theatre, investigate the ground floor and collect all the items lying there. Then, go upstairs, however, do not approach the door and go upstairs again. Here, in front of the stairs, you will see a place where you can activate the Residual Memory - it is located beneath the wall with a painting hanging on it. Activate the memory, collect the Repair Parts lying nearby, and go downstairs. Go through the double door to initiate a long sequence of cutscenes.
Upon regaining control over the protagonist, go to the other side of the corridor and enter the modern room. Here, you have to cross weird levitating constructions. You have to continually move forward and avoid being detected by the blue light - do not stay in the open for too long, instead, take cover whenever possible. In this location, you can find the Statue with the Key visible in the picture above.
Upon reaching the end of this stage, go through the double door. On the other side, you will find the mirror allowing you to return to Sebastian's room - it is worth going there to use the Weapon Parts and Green Gel, as there is a serious boss fight ahead. When ready, go through another door, run downwards and take the long corridor to the double door. Behind it, there is the boss waiting for you.
Boss - Stefano
Stefano is going to move towards you, and occasionally teleport to shorten the distance between you. Wait until he reappears after teleporting and shoot him 1-2 times, best with the Sawed-Off Shotgun / Shotgun from a short distance. This stage of the fight is not too difficult - just make sure the enemy does not come near you and does not hit you.
When you deal enough damage to Stefano, he is going to summon the monster that has been harassing you on your way to fight the boss. The rules stay the same - when the eye is starting to scan the room, you have to find cover to avoid damage. Stefano will assume different strategy. He will teleport much faster and it will be much more difficult for you to hit him. He can also cause explosions frozen in time - after several seconds the time freezing bubble disappears releasing the explosion Stefano can also throw a knife at Sebastian - consider observing the boss and moving a lot to avoid this. Attack him as long as he does not fall on the ground initiating another sequence of cutscenes, which end Chapter 8 of the story campaign.
