The API can be generated on the project page, which can be accessed using the account manager on the official page of EVE Online (EVE Universe -> Account Management > Support > API Key Management) or by typing "eve api" in the browser and clicking on the corresponding link.
Watch out for your API! It is a source of information about your account. Do not share it with anyone you do not know.
