Empire

The first step of creating a new character in EVE Online is to choose your Empire. Despite the fact that each race has specific initial skills, your choice will not have much impact on the gameplay. Characters can be developed in any direction.

1. Amarr: the greatest empire in EVE Online's universe. However, it is the only society that still uses slaves. The Amarrians are allied with the Caldari. This empire is led by the Amarr Emperor. Amarr Empire's ships rely on durable armor and their energy cannons;
2. Caldari: people with a great military tradition and a strict code of honor. The Caldarians separated from Gallente due to a disagreement between the government and the corporations. There you will find the main commercial hub of the game - Jita. Caldari relies on missiles, and their ships are protected by energy shields;
3. Gallente: the second biggest race in EVE Online - the backbone of democracy, liberalism, and freedom. They are allied with Minmatar. Gallente is led by the government and the president. They abhor slavery and actively support all liberation movements. Their greatest offensive power is hybrid guns and drones. As for defense, they rely on armor;
4. Minmatar: a determined and independent society living on the planet Matar. Their ships are usually equipped with standard guns. Only a few of them can shoot missiles. Minmatar's ships are the only ones that can use both armor and energy shields.

Bloodline

Each race in EVE Online is divided into three Bloodlines. They differ primarily in appearance, but this choice can also affect the story and character description to a certain level. Choose the Bloodline that best suits the character you are creating.

Character appearance

The next step in creating a new character in EVE Online is to customize the character's appearance, e.g. choose muscle, skin color, eyes, or hairstyle. You will be able to choose such things as tattoos, scars, or earrings.

Portrait

The portrait represents your hero in EVE Online. You can change it at any time during the game by visiting a station with a special module. When creating a portrait, you can choose between dozens of backgrounds and several different poses. You can even modify the position of the head and the facial expression.

Education, character name

At this stage of creating a new hero in EVE Online, you will have to choose one of the three educations available to enrich your character's history. There are three educations to choose from: military, economic and scientific. Your choice will determine what initial skills your character will have. Most often these are skills from the Gunnery, Engineering or Production groups. Education also determines your starting corporation.
