EVE Online: Graphics settings PC EVE Online guide, tips

On this page of the EVE Online guide, you will find a list of all graphics settings and their explanation.

Last update: 20 September 2021

This page of the guide focuses on the graphics options available in EVE Online on PC - how they affect the smoothness of the gameplay and the quality of the graphics.

EVE Online does not offer many graphical options. However, players can customize the game's graphics which can be useful especially for weaker computers.

Below is a full list of graphics options of EVE Online:

Display

  1. Display mode: you can choose whether to display the game on full screen or in a window;
  2. Adapter Resolution: the option responsible for setting the resolution in EVE Online. Set the native resolution of your monitor to get a satisfactory image quality. Setting lower values will cause screen blurring;
  3. UI Scaling: the option responsible for user interface scaling - 100% is the default.

Graphic Content Settings

  1. Anti-aliasing: the option responsible for smoothing the edges. Unfortunately, anti-Aliasing has some flaws, for example it blurs the screen a little bit so it doesn't seem sharp or ragged
  2. Texture Quality: the option responsible for the quality of the textures. Remember that when you are setting high-quality textures, you put a higher load on the graphics card;
  3. LOD Quality: this option affects the visual quality of rendered objects in the game world - the distance of objects appearing on the screen and the complexity of the models. High details require more power from CPU, graphics card and VRAM;
  4. Post Processing: this option is responsible for visual effects such as ambient occlusion or motion blur. The higher the setting, the more strain on your graphics card;
  5. Shadow Quality / Shader Quality: the option responsible for rendering object shadows. The higher the resolution and more shadows, the more resources your graphics card will need. If you have a weaker PC, consider lowering the quality of shadows to improve the smoothness of the game.
