Darkest Dungeon 2. The most anticipated RPGs of 2020

Darkest Dungeon 2

  1. Genre: roguelike, RPG
  2. Release date: 2020
  3. Platform: PC (most probably it will hit early access)
  4. Developer: Red Hook Studios

For many years we believed that players preferred to be aided and hand-held during the gameplay. That they need quest markers and health regeneration. Then, two games have emerged and proved that it's not always true. Masochists with lots of spare time are still among us. This was first confirmed by the Dark Souls series, and then followed by a production from a different weight category, though equally vicious and unforgiving – Darkest Dungeon.

This small but captivating, dark, Lovecraft-themed video game has brought strategists down to earth. After winning a lot of awards and releasing a few expansion sets, Red Hook studio prepares a fully-fledged continuation. Little is known about this title except that it will take us from a typically Victorian dungeon to the freezing north – into a truly apocalyptic atmosphere. But lovers of the original wouldn't want it to be too easy or simple in any aspect.

Again, we'll have to take part in intense turn-based battles, take care of the psycho-physical condition of the characters and simply survive (and then become victorious). The new, cold environment will most likely mix well with the new game mechanics prepared to torment the daredevils who want to venture into the darkest of dungeons. Many players just can't wait to unveil these dark secrets.
