- In a nutshell: A classic platformer with fabulous graphics
This is the second part of the extremely warmly received game, Ori and the Blind Forest. Once again we play as the title Ori spirit, this time to venture beyond the forest, to the amazing world of this game. While traversing the twisted mazes, players will encounter both enemies and allies. The levels are built according to the rules of the metroidvania genre, i.e. some passages become available only later in the game, after finding a way to open them. Our character also develops his abilities by learning new spells and forms of attacks, but the difficulty level is not as high as in the first part.
What makes it worth playing?
Ori delights with beautiful, hand-drawn graphics, which, combined with the music, create a captivating atmosphere. It also draws you in with a narrative that builds the story, able to trigger whole swaths of different emotions. The gameplay, on the other hand, still poses a good challenge, even for platforming veterans, so completing the game gives a lot of satisfaction. Contrary to appearances, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a purebred game, not just a collection of pretty, colorful pictures for casual gamers.
