Hardcore Gamer: 4.5 / 5 by Chris Shive
Hades already looked great, but experiencing it in 4k on current-gen consoles is a sight to behold.
Nintendo Life: 10 / 10 by PJ O'Reilly
Hades is a sublime mix of satisfyingly gritty and flexible combat, a wonderfully vibrant art style and genuinely fun and engaging narrative. Supergiant Games has an excellent track record thus far but this really does feel its finest hour, a rip-roaring rampage through the underworld that's arrived here on Switch in a port that's nigh-on perfect. Even if you're yet to be swayed by the admittedly repetitive ebb and flow of the roguelike genre, we passionately urge you to at least give this one a try; for fans of the genre or anyone even remotely interested, this is one heavenly vision of hell that we highly recommend you sacrifice yourself to.
God is a Geek: 9.5 / 10

- Complex Currency Systems: There are multiple currencies in the game, which can become cumbersome and lead to confusion, especially as some currencies lose their value over time.
- Difficulty in Unlocking Content: While the game encourages multiple runs, some players found that unlocking all content can feel tedious and time-consuming.

- More Diverse Bosses and Enemies: Some reviews expressed a desire for a wider variety of bosses and enemies to enhance the challenge and variety of encounters.
- Improved Clarity in Combat Mechanics: A few players felt that the visual clutter during combat made it hard to track enemy attacks and actions, suggesting a need for clearer visual cues.
- Expanded Narrative Options: While the story is praised, some users wished for deeper side quests and narrative elements that could further enrich character relationships and lore.
- More Robust Difficulty Scaling: Some players mentioned that the game could benefit from more nuanced difficulty settings to cater to varying skill levels without becoming frustrating.
