The first installment of Chivalry from 2012 was a breath of fresh air in the stagnant market -- after all, we didn't often have the opportunity to swap a rifle for a sword, and a modern battlefield for the filth, disease, and graves of the Middle Ages. Don't worry, the production of Torn Banner didn't quit shooting completely. The game offers, among others, crossbow. Chivalry 2 develops the idea of the original, adding many more or less important novelties to it. Why is it worth giving this "Battlefield of swords, maces and bows" a chance?
The sequel increased the scale of battles. From now on, up to 64 players can take part in themand they can finally mount horses. After entering a server, choosing the weapon and class, the knights are assigned to one of the teams and try to complete a set of tasks. As befits a game in the realities of the Middle Ages, there's no lack siege towers, fighting in forests or ransacking settlements. However, the authors did not focus one hundred percent on realism, the best proof of which is the ability to launch a corpse from a catapult as a projectile.
The combat system is extremely important in these types of games. And here, it shines like a polished armor. In Chivalry 2, the developers managed to do something amazing -- they developed more possibilities for performing slashes and thrusts, giving them greater control over them while simplifying the controls! You can see the devs really invested a lot of time to polish it.
The sequel can be enjoyed, in terms of design of location and soldiers. All thanks to advanced graphics. However, some people may be put off by the extensive brutality.
