Hi-Fi Rush

  1. Year of release: 2023

  3. Genre: Rhythm slasher

  5. In a nutshell: Spreading mayhem to the rhythm of hits by bands like Nine Inch Nails or The Prodigy

In the game, we direct a boy, inside whose body a record player was somehow found. The original plot idea continues to become more garden-variety. An evil megacorporation quickly becomes interested in the hero, eventually considering him a "bug" that needs to be disposed of. To this end, a whole army of robots is sent after the boy.

The most important reason, though not the only one, is the unusual idea for the game. Under the guise of a slasher, there's a great rhythm-and-music game. You can deliver attacks – but you don't have to – to the right rhythm. However, it's worth playing in offensive style, as this is the only way to create combos. Clicking at the right moment helps you get into the music. Hi-Fi Rush uses both well-known hits and original compositions created especially for the game. In addition to the audio setting, the graphics are also fantastic. The combination of 3D animation and cartoon graphics looks great and constitutes a nice, added value. Some players will probably also be delighted with the Polish, very good (I rarely write this) dubbing.
