A long time ago, Doom started the craze for FPP shooters. The brand reboot in 2016 was a huge success, so the sequel was only a matter of time. Doom Eternal refers to the 1994 classic Doom 2: Hell on Earth and at the same time develops ideas from its direct predecessor. So we have to travel through the earthly metropolises taken over by the forces of hell and visit completely alien worlds with a completely surprising appearance.
Doom Eternal offers extremely dynamic gameplay and interesting mechanics, in which constantly juggling weapons guarantees staying alive longer and having access to more ammunition supplies. Mobility was greatly expanded, adding some platforming elements to the battles. Thanks to them, you can get to secret locations with hidden collectibles and challenges. The new Doom also sheds some light on the plot of this primarily action-oriented series.
It's hard to find a more satisfying smashing of filthy demons. Doom may be brutal, but there's something cartoonish about it all, and what comes to the fore is the extraordinary fluency with which you can move and fight at the same time. Each clash with a horde of classic doom enemies resembles a ballet of death, in which successive shots and finishers seem to be some sort of well-thought-out arrangement. The visuals and the design of levels, as well as the pulsating soundtrack, complete the list of advantages of one of the best shooters on the market. Mostly veterans of the series can complain, but only because of the platforming elements and greater emphasis on the story.
