Crowfall. A list of most-wanted upcoming MMORPGs

Table of Contents

  1. How long we've been waiting: 4 years
  2. To be released: mid-2020
  3. Distinguishing features: two distinct modules, the world scenarios, a conflict of factions, castle development

The development of Crowfall is going rather sluggishly, but the creators really seem determined to brush all the mechanics up as much as possible. This can end in two ways: we either get a perfect MMORPG, or the game will have become obsolete by the time it even crawls out. But it is difficult to cheer for such a sweeping and ambitious project.

The structure of this production is twofold: the first part of it is the astral world. Here, we take care of our faction, or guild's affairs, and can build a castle. The second, is the scenario world, which we can explore as... our own vassal. Inside this world, we will complete quests commissioned by our faction. The ultimate goal is conquering the invaded world.

What's also interesting about these worlds is that they will offer different starting conditions. As a result, we'll be able to invade inhabited worlds that will need to be conquered by sheer force, but in other cases, engineering social and economic structures from ground-up will produce the same result. On top of it all, these mechanics are in fact tools that all the players will use to struggle for power.
