Ashes of Creation. A list of most-wanted upcoming MMORPGs

Table of Contents

Ashes of Creation is a game that used to raise our hear rate, but now only raises eyebrows, if not concerns. How? The developers have made some controversial decisions concerning publishing, and released a standalone battle royale module entitled Apocalypse. It was supposed to be a proving ground for Ashes of Creation's mechanics, and eventually evolved into a stand-alone product. To add insult to injury, the developers have, once, again, postponed the beta tests, not to mention the release.

Still, Ashes of Creation is an amazing concept. It combines old solutions with new ideas. The inn, for example, will be an important place in terms of the mechanics. This is a meeting place for players who exchange information about the quests they pursue. These don't have regular objective markers, bur rather use simple, textual descriptions. The players themselves will be able to run places like that, presumably earning good money.

Add to that 64 character classes, your own cities, setting out with a merchant caravan, forge alliances with other communities, or explore the world for resources. On top of that, we have different natural disasters that change the game world, often resulting in wars for resources. What will come out of it all? Let's hope we see sooner rather than later.
