Desperados 3: Long Coat - how to eliminate? Desperados 3 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 22 February 2021
On this page of our guide, we explain how to effectively get rid of Long Coat enemies in order to peacefully complete mission objectives. Long Coat is the name of the strongest and most difficult type of enemy in Desperados 3.
To remind you, Long Coat enemies can be recognized by the long black coats they wear. They appear from the third campaign mission. As you advance in the game, confrontations with them will unfortunately become more frequent. These opponents are not only stronger but also more alert. For example, they are able to expose Kate while she is moving around in disguise.
Hector is perfect for eliminating Long Coats. He can:
- Kill a Long Coat enemy with an axe.
- Stun a Long Coat opponent when you choose the melee attack.
Note - Don't try to set a bear trap on a Long Coat enemy. Long Coat will notice the trap and avoid it.
Other characters' skills can't kill a Long Coat right away, but they can weaken him - you will see a Long Coat kneeling (example in the image above). This can happen, for example, when a Long Coat is hit by McCoy's Buntline.
You must always finish the weakened Long Coat before the red bar gets depleted. Run up to him from the side or from behind (preferably as another hero) to finish that enemy off. Don't run up front, because a weakened Long Coat can still try to defend himself.
