Desperados 3: Find the dynamite, option 1 - mission 6, walkthrough Desperados 3 guide, walkthrough
Last update: 23 February 2021
On this page of our Desperados 3 game guide you can find the second part of our walkthrough of Mission 6 - The Bridge at Eagle Falls. Our description explains how to obtain the dynamite at the shooting range - you will learn how to reach the shooting range and how to deal with opponents wandering in this location.
Our walkthrough of Mission 6 contains references to the map in the world atlas, which can be found on the first page of this chapter. For example, the marking (M6, 7) indicates that you should find the blue point no. 7 on the map of mission 6.
You can also get dynamite in another way - take a look at Option 2 - Find the dynamite in the quarry. You need to get the dynamite in one of these two locations. Thus, you don't have to visit both areas.
Getting to the shooting range
Your first task is to head towards the shooting range (M6,3). You will have to walk through an area adjacent to the one in which you have found the disguise for Kate. Long Coat enemy guards this area (M6,7).
The best option to deal with this problem is to order Kate to sneak around the Long Coat enemy from the side or from behind. You can throw perfumes at him and temporarily blind him. This will make it easier to eliminate other enemies that stand nearby. Long Coat should be taken down as the last target - use a proven tactic, that is, shoot him with a McCoy pistol (preferably from a nearby tower) and quickly finish him off with Cooper.
The square adjacent to the post with a Long Coat enemy is being watched by a sniper (M6,8) - use McCoy's gun with a scope to get rid of him before you start to eliminate local enemies.
One of the paths to the shooting range leads through a timber dump (M6,10). In this area Kate can move freely in disguise, as well as draw away or eliminate individual enemies. Other characters can travel through the stored wood logs and jump down on the opponents. Watch out for a few-man patrol that constantly patrols the wood storage. You don't have to attack these enemies - just sneak over their heads or sneak behind their backs.
Another option to reach the shooting range is to take an interest in the sawmill (M6,9). A rope can be found next to the building - only Cooper is able to use it. There are enemies and civilians in the sawmill and some enemies can be drawn away by relying on Kate's flirting skills.
One of the enemies in the sawmill is a new Long Coat, but you can get rid of him by being clever. Inside the building there is an interactive mechanism that activates and deactivates the automatic saw machine. You can turn off the saw and hide. Wait until Long Coat goes to investigate the cause of the machine's failure, then you have to re-activate the saw in order to kill the opponent.
By going through the sawmill (or descending down the rope) you will find yourself in the area in front of the sawmill (M6,12). Kate's flirting skills will allow you to confuse and distract most of your opponents. This can make it easier for other characters to walk through this location (if necessary). In addition, there is an opportunity to sabotage the support so that the wood logs may collapse and roll down.
At the end of this area there is a wide path leading towards the shooting range.
Getting the dynamite at the shooting range
The square (M6,11) is patrolled by a single Long Coat opponent and he is the most serious threat here. You must avoid him at all costs, especially if you play Kate who wears a disguise. The heroine should be able to draw at least one other opponent away from the shooting range in order to eliminate him in a more secluded place.
Move other characters to this place too, so you can rely on their abilities. We advise you to take care of opponents positioned near the closed gate. You can draw them away behind the covered boards and eliminate them. But you have to get it right in time (including hiding the corpse), because Long Coat will become alert that his subordinates have vanished. After that he will start searching the area. Don't let him find any hero or enemy corpse.
Showdown Mode can significantly help you in eliminating more opponents. Also, launch your attacks in the right time so that you won't get noticed by a Long Coat opponent:
- Make a combo attack on opponents 1 and 2. Quickly hide their bodies.
- Wait for Long Coat to move to point 3. Use McCoy's pistol with a scope to hit the Long Coat enemy (you can take position on a nearby sniper tower - (M6,8)) and finish him off with Cooper who can attack the opponent from behind.
- At the end, eliminate the two opponents standing at point 4. They are during their training at the shooting range and they never turn around, which makes them very easy targets.
After clearing out the area, switch to McCoy. Reach the hut on the shooting range (M6,3). McCoy is the only character that has the lockpick skill. Use it to break into the place where the dynamite is being stored.
