How to win the favor of the faction?
There are three more factions in Constantinople in addition to Templar and Assassins. There are Romanies, Thieves and Mercenaries. To have them on your side, you have to complete one mission for each of factions. Romanies mission is connected to the main plot and others are marked on the Istanbul map. Their location and description can be found in a previous guide to AC Revelations, which was focused on main and secondary missions. Once you convince the faction to cooperate, you can extend their influence by buying new building for them. Location of building can be found in chapter about reconstruction of the city.
Why should I cooperate with factions?
When you cooperate with faction, you'll meet groups of their representatives on city streets. Each of them offers different kind of assistance for a small fee. Gypsy dancers provide excellent camouflage and distract guards standing near the post.
Mercenaries attack indicated enemies and can also successfully stop the chase.
The only ability of thieves is to distract indicated targets. It is worth to cooperate with each faction, because in this way you'll unlock challenges associated with them.
