What is the guild for?
As in the previous installment of the series, in Revelations you have also a possibility of running your own assassins guild. The biggest advantage of this organization is access to recruits who help you during fights with opponents (LB). Their availability is indicated by red lines in the left upper corner of the screen. In addition, a maximum number of lines (3) allows you to perform so called Arrow Storm, instantly killing all enemies in sight. In order to use it, hold LB. Keep in mind though, that every call for assassins empties one red line and Arrow Storm - all at once. They regenerate over time.
How do you begin?
You should begin with getting rid of Templar Den, marked on the city map. In each of them you'll encounter a captain, which must be found and killed. You might use an Eagle Sense at this point (LS), so you will see a golden trace on the ground, indicating a patrolling path of your target. If he gets into you sight range, he will be marked with a red cross-hair. Captains are divided into two types: brave and cowardly. Former tend to confrontation, while others begin to flee immediately after detection. If you fail to catch them, you'll lose the ability to take over this area for some time.
During the search remember that the area around the den is marked in red, so every encountered Templar will attack you without warning.
After killing the captain, there is only one more thing left. You have to climb up to the Templar tower and signal assassins to attack (B). Overtaking the den will not only unlock nearby shops but also increase the limit of guild members.
How to recruit assassins?
Once you overtake the den, you'll be able to recruit new assassins. Places where you can find recruits are marked on the map. Candidates are divided into two groups. Former can be recruits by saving them from aggressive Templar. Just kill all opponents and after a short conversation new recruit will join the guild. Other group of candidates requires completing short missions. Their location and description can be found in a previous guide to AC Revelations, which was focused on main and secondary missions.
How to train assassins and develop the guild?
In order to increase strength of your people, you have to send them for different missions. You'll find them at pigeon lofts scattered around the city, standing near the bomb crafting chests.
Missions are always on a certain difficulty level, indicated by red dots. The more difficult the mission is the stronger assassins have to be send there. Sometimes there are also additional conditions about the weapon possessed by the recruit.
Chance of success is shown in percentage when you select assassins.
For completing the mission, your pupil receives experience points and Ezio gets gold and various objects. Besides, guild's area of influence increases. If it reaches a sufficiently high level, you'll have the opportunity to take over the city from Templar. Taken metropolis brings you a steady income, items and experience points. But you have to remember about keeping your influence there. Otherwise you'll lose control over the city.
My recruit is on 10th experience level. What now?
When the assassin gets to 10th experience level, he is ready to start master training. First you have to order him commanding one of the available dens. To do it, move to the white comb inside the building and choose so-called leader.
After that operation, recruit should appear in the den. Talk to him and the start the mission. Location and description of all missions can be found in a previous guide to AC Revelations, which was focused on main and secondary missions.
Once the mission is over send your assassin to complete other missions around Mediterranean until he gets on 15th experience level and completely fills the experience bar. You will then unlock a second part of master training. After completing that, assassin will become master and the den he leads, will be immune to Templar attacks.
