This part of the guide is a walkthrough to the first phase of Chapter 8 (A Sea of Promises) of Plague Tale: Requiem. Our guide will show what actions have to be performed on the ship, how to get through the village and how to win the pot-throwing competition.
Talk to the others
Chapter 8 begins with the team aboard a sailing ship. You can check out both the main and below decks - there are optional interactions possible.
You can talk to Sophia, Arnaud and Hugo. In the case of Hugo, you can embark on an exploration trip with him, with additional interactions available (Hugo will take a compass with him). To moor the ship, you need to talk with Sophia. You'll be taken to La Cuna isle.
Enter the village
Start exploring the village - there are no enemies or dangers here. You can chat with met figures. To get another item for Hugo's Herbarium (Black Kite), go to the vicnity of the amphitheatre, talk to the woman and look near the tree.
To continue, return back to the main area. The guards will now let you through (the path was locked before).
Turn left and you will reach a place where there is an optional pot-throwing competition - .
You have 4 pots at your disposal, and to win, all of them need to fly through the garland.
Hold down the aim button (L2 / left trigger on consoles) and adjust the trajectory - it has to fly straight through each garland (example in the screenshot) This should guarantee a successful throw. Successful attempt is rewarded with a trophy and a new Souvenir (Flower Crown) is unlocked.
Follow the parade
Proceed. There is a workbench here. A parade is taking place in the distance, and you can watch it for a bit from the railing.
You don't have to follow the parade. A cut-scene starring the Count will take place.
