Mission walkthrough
Your duties during the course of the mission:
Your first task will be to neutralize a large group of Novus forces in order to assure the safe passage of an allied Purifier. Once this is done, you will have to escort the Purifier to a Hierarchy base. The final phase of the mission will require you to destroy a nearby Novus base.
Detailed mission walkthrough:
First objective: Post a scout on the ridge
This isn't going to be a difficult mission, however you will have to perform several unusual actions in order to succeed. You'll start the game near the western edge of the map (1 on the map). I guess I should calm you down a little by saying that you won't have to race against the clock and you won't have to focus your attention only on securing a safe passage for the Purifier. You start the game in a safe area, so you won't encounter any hostile units right away. Familiarize yourself with your troops and divide them into several groups. As you've noticed, you will be able to use a Reaper Drone during the course of this mission. Protect it at all costs, because you won't be allowed to replace it and you'll need all the resources you can get. Like I've already said, you won't have to worry about the Purifier, because it'll be attacked only a few times and it has a great armor. Send Orlok to the south-east. He will have to deal with several Ohm Robots. Once they're gone, order your Grunt units to show up here. Take control over all three hydraulic pumps (screen). Obviously you will have to use the Capture ability. Doing this will provide you with a small but steady income.
Now you should consider sending your main character to the north and to the north-east. Orlok will come across several other hostiles, however he will also find other interesting objects. Your Reaper Drone will be able to transform them to resources. Order your troops to move to the east and make sure that your Reaper Drone is collecting resources safely. You won't find a lot of them, but you'll come across a larger stash in a few minutes. Sooner or later you'll have to start thinking about fulfilling this first mission objective. Send over a single Lost One unit to the ridge (screen). The rest of your army should be stationed somewhere to the north. Getting to the ridge will allow you to uncover an enemy base. Once this is done, you may leave this hill, however I would recommend leaving one unit at the designated area, so you'll be able to observe enemy movements. You should also ask Orlok to come here, because there are a few Ohm Robots to the south. Neutralize them as soon as possible.
Second objective: Destroy the Novus weapon crates
It might seem that neutralizing all enemy forces would be next to impossible. Thankfully, you will be allowed to choose a different approach method. Listen closely to what your superiors have to say. Choose a single Lost One unit and get it closer to the ridge. Now you must order this unit to go south. After that, turn to south-east and finally start moving eastwards. You will have to get closer to the first designated crate. Wait for your unit to be attacked. Once this has occured, activate the Phase Self ability. This will allow you to make it immune to enemy fire and invisible to Novus units for 25 seconds. You will have to be quick if you want to reach the goal area before the meter runs out. Keep heading towards the first crate (screen).
Leave the Phase Self mode activated. Don't turn it off. Instead, choose a second ability from the lower bar. It's going to be a plasma bomb. Once this is done, click on the ground, somewhere near the crate. You can't click directly on the crate, because nothing will happen. Don't worry that placing the bomb has exposed your unit, because it will be a sacrifice. You're going to be rewarded with a HUGE explosion (screen). As a result, all nearby turrets and units are going to be destroyed. Sadly, you can't rely on the plasma bombs in other missions, because they aren't that powerful. This explosion has occured only because you've triggered a chain reaction. Now you will have to choose a new Lost One unit. Try destroying a second crate using the same tactics. I would recommend that you choose the crate that's located to the north-west. I wouldn't recommend approaching it from the north. Instead, get closer to it from the south side. Otherwise you wouldn't have enough time to place the bomb. Wait for the second explosion.
You've only got two more crates to blow up. Just as before, you should start off by visiting the ridge. After that, your units have to go south and east. Make sure that you've used both abilities in order to ensure that everything goes according to the plan. Once you've destroyed all four crates, allow your main character to approach this area. He must take care of the remaining enemy forces. Now you may allow your Reaper Drone to collect more resources, especially from the wreckages left behind by destroyed enemy tanks and vehicles.
