Mission 1 - part 2 | Masari UaW: EA Guide
Last update: 11 May 2016
Third objective: Build a Knowledge Vault
Buying this structure is going to be important, not only now but also during the course of every other Masari mission. Knowledge Vault allows you to acquire upgrades, necessary to unlock new types of units, better turrets and other technologies. This is all needed if you want to improve the strength and the quality of your army. You may place it anywhere you want to, however I would recommend choosing the southern edge of the map, so it won't be exposed to enemy fire. You should also find a spot somewhere near the Citadel. You may also begin manufacturing Conqueror units by finding the Machina building. If you don't have it, build one. Place the Conqueror units near your Disciple troops.
Fourth objective: Upgrade the Knowledge Vault
Click on the Knowledge Vault building and choose the only available upgrade - Ancient Knowledge. Acquiring this technology will allow you to unlock a new unit for the Machina structure. You'll also be allowed to purchase upgrades for other types of buildings. Remember that you can speed up the upgrading process by allowing the Architects to use their powers.
Fifth objective: Build a Sky Guardian
The Sky Guardian turret became available once you've built the Knowledge Vault structure. Purchasing these turrets is extremely important, because you'll be allowed to use them to take down enemy flying saucers. Ignore what you're being told, because having only one Sky Guardian turret isn't enough. You will have to place more of them. Place them to the north-west of the Citadel and to the west of your main army, because this area may be attacked by enemy air units. Eventually you should consider filling this entire section of the map with Guardian and Sky Guardian turrets. Make sure that they're close to each other, so more turrets will be able to attack a single target at the same time. You will probably have to build additional Matter Engine structures, but it shouldn't be a problem. As for the area to the east of the Citadel, you won't have to worry about any enemy units showing up there, however you may consider building only a few turrets just to be sure.
Sixth objective: Build a Flight Machina
You should take your time to perform several other actions before constructing the Flight Machina. Click on the Knowledge Vault structure and buy the second upgrade (Forbidden Knowledge). Doing this will allow you to unlock several new units, as well as better technologies. You won't have to spend a lot of resources on the second upgrade, so it won't halt your expansion. I would also recommend buying a Detection of Motion upgrade for the Oracle building. Purchasing this technology will allow you to prepare for enemy attacks. You'll be able to see where to position your units in order to prevent enemy forces from performing a surprise attack. As for the Flight Machina, place it anywhere you want to (screen) and wait for it to be built. It would be a good idea to recruit several Inquisitor units right away, however if you plan on relying on dark matter for the most of the time, it would be better to construct more Conqueror tanks.
Seventh objective: Upgrade the Matter Engines
Click on one of the available Matter Engine buildings and purchase this upgrade. It's called Matter Sifter. Doing this will allow the building to collect and hold more energy (360 units instead of 240). You should also know that the upgrade has been acquired only for this specific building, so you will have to spend more credits if you plan on upgrading the rest as well.
